Feedback Needed: Holiday "Claim" threads!

this genuinely seems like such a wonderful idea to me but it seems like it got kind of glossed over so i'm gonna post it again!!

i don't really like the idea of the mockup, even if you're not required to actually participate in the thread to join the queue. i don't really socialise on the forums + i'm pretty socially anxious so i'd feel like i'm being intrusive just barging in to like, demand ToTs lol when i'm not even talking in the thread.

i think Marcus's idea is a great replacement for claim threads since it works the same way while removing the forum aspect that's an issue! even if it didn't live update like a shoutbox, i think it would be nice
