I think she has to pick something she likes and not as a nurse.. she told us if we would set her up in a house for the disabled. She would run it within 2 weeks... right.. -rolls eyes- And she knows she is at school and with us a bit absent/ shows not spirit. We asked what she would do about it or what we could do to help her, no answer.. same as with her cell phone... Pff.. Some people...

- You know, I just realized I'm having the same discussion with my 19 yr old son. He thinks he's invincible and has all the answers. I remember that the one thing I was when I was his age was ignorant and there was no way you could get me to admit it. Just like I can't get my son to admit his ignorance, your nursing student is doing the same thing. But my son doesn't hide behind silence. Quite the opposite, he's got an answer, solution, for everything. The only thing I can do is let him go, watch him fall, and be there to help his get back up. It's not an easy thing to do and I really wish I didn't have to. So, I feel your pain. :(

well i am taking my hands off her now. She has 3 weeks to prove herself and she has goals and tips and well let her do and maybe fall. Will see when april 9 comes how she does.

Hi! Hope you are doing better. I am at the moment. :) I go over to my Dad's every day now for a couple hours. Basically so he has someone to talk to and to check up on him. But I also do stuff for him around the house. I'm enjoying getting to see him so often. :) My brother goes over on his days off and chooses one of them to go grocery shopping for Dad and my son Cory. I've also been going over to Cory's computer and cell phone repair shop afterwards for a few hours. I'm organizing everything one section at a time. He's really excited about the results and I enjoy doing that kind of work (he HATES it lol) and just spending time with him.

Hoppy Easter KSrs! Hope spring won't be far behind.

We're getting 5 days of rain. Three of the days potential severe weather (hail, tornadoes) followed by snow. Going to be a long week.

We have no plans for Easter. Just dinner. A little splurge with some easter candy. I like when Easter is in mid April or later so there is a better chance of it feeling like spring.

Those dolls are the cutest!

Doing okay. April is lots of dr appts so it will be busy in the coming weeks. And there is the weather to contend with. We have appointments tomorrow and Tuesday and the weather might be scary. Not looking forward to it.

It was a nice day with the sun today in the corner with no wind in the sun was warm... sat there for a while with a book. Started raining in the evening here

Maybe it will be ok during the driving to and from the appts. I hope so. OMG tornadoes and snow? What a crap combo. I don't want hail or a tornado anywhere close at any time! I would have liked some snow earlier tho. It got way too hot too soon here and the bugs are eating us alive. All that means is bloody furnace heat summer gets here sooner and lasts longer. Ugh to the depth of my being!

I'm glad you are felling better! That was misery for you I know. My father has told lots of stories and I wish I had recorded them or written them down. He doesn't remember things now so its harder for him. My mother loved the book I made for her, but she was a voracious reader. My father wouldn't like it because he never has liked to read, and he will quit if there is too much text even like on a birthday card. He likes those, just not with a lot of reading. :)

- Oh, don't I know it. Hugging the porcelain goddess while swearing that you'd never eat again. I'm sorry you had to go through it. I hope the offending food wasn't at a favorite restaurant? Personally, I love jewel tones so I'd probably go for a dark pumpkin orange/topaz. :D

- My grandmother was like that before she passed. I would sit and listen to her stories for hours. But, heaven forbid I try to record one of her stories. She got upset, thinking I was writing things wrong. It got to the point where I'd listen to her and then try to transcribe what she said after I'd "gone to bed." I miss her. :D
