That may mean the pet's name has never been changed or by you. Mine see the same with pets whose haven't been updated yet.

In the past, pet names were unique. The site used a pet's name to link to it from various pages and I assume part of the backend was made in a way that depended on the pet names being unique because they always had been.

But then people were upset because pets with good names were stuck on inactive accounts. And people with desireable names would be contacted to adopt out their pet.

So the solution was to get rid of the unique names for pets, and just use an ID to identify each unique pet. That allows for multiple pets to have the same name because they can't be mixed up because they have different IDs. This ofcourse required some changes to the site because pet names were previously used to link to the pet profile and such.

When the change finally happened, pets could finally have the same name. But some people wanted to preserve their unique name because they worked hard to obtain those desirable names in the past. So the unique name was saved as the Legacy Name.

I'm not sure what the pool does, whether it completely removes the Legacy Name, or sets it to the current name. I'm going to guess it's going to be removed, because it makes no sense to set it to the current name, because that would mean Legacy Names are not unique and the whole point was to preserve the old names. Anyway, you can probably test it by creating a brand new pet, because then they would probably not have a Legacy Name because they weren't around when the change happened.

Edit: I just looked up some new users and looked at their pet profiles. Their pets don't have a Legacy Name, so I'm going to assume using the pools will remove it. And there's no way to get it back.

What is a legacy name in Subeta? Legacy names were granted to pets with the intention to honor the effort and expense it could previously require to obtain a desired name. There is no way to change a pet's legacy name, but it can be removed. Legacy names are not affected in any way by changing a pet's actual name.

Gators taking the lead by 8 after being down by 18

One part of mine order came in a few minutes ago, a pair of lift arms for the trunk.

Installed in five minutes, and the trunk opens and closes much better.

The timing chain kit and outside mirror switch are still due.
