The second post on this thread will keep a schedule of when the queue will be done (generally either Sunday/Friday or Sunday/Wednesday). Changes to the queue schedule for any given week will receive a ping as an alert.

Curious about when the queue will be done? You can find an up to date schedule here! Note that the queue is generally done on either Sunday/Friday or Sunday/Wednesday depending on my clinic work schedule. However it is subject to be changed based on a variety of factors (ie: change in my clinic work schedule, school obligations, vacations, illness, etc)

Welcome to the new CW Announcements thread! It's basically the same as the old CW Announcements thread with just a few extra spaces -- one saved to update my work schedule as needed, and one in case I realize I need an extra post for something and don't want to have to remake the entire thread again ;)

With that introduction out of the way, there IS something I do need to talk about;

Recently it has come to my attention that there were perhaps some custom wearables that we hadn't looked at for literal weeks - as in from December. As far as we are aware and can see on our end, this isn't the case.

The queue gets cleaned out completely at least 2-3 times a month. Generally the longest an item will sit in there is about 10 days -- and I try really hard to not let it sit that long. If it does, it usually means I'm waiting for a second opinion or trying to investigate something.

At this moment, the oldest item in the queue was submitted on 1/27/2024. If you have an item in the queue that is older than this date, please submit a ticket. Please include a screenshot of said submission so we can look into it. I'll be adding this to the FAQ as well, but you may also submit a ticket if an item has been in there longer than two weeks at any time (unless I've made a prior announcement that something is going on). While submitting a ticket won't mean we go and accept it right away, it WILL alert us that there may be a problem we need to investigate - i.e. are CWs getting stuck somewhere that we can't see them?

Please do not just pull an item and resubmit it. If you do this, it means we have no idea there is an issue going on, and that means we can't investigate and possibly fix it.

On a final note, for special occasions when I post a deadline - it is a deadline for a reason. If I say "All items must be in the queue by 10 AM Subeta Time/EST" and you submit it at 11 AM, it may not get looked at.

- Just wanted to show that the queue is 100% empty now - so if you have an item in there, it means something weird is going on and I'd like you to submit a ticket to let me know about it! This is only good for items submitted before about 6:00 PM Subeta Time on 2/4 (allowing for the 30 minute delay between submission and it showing up in the queue. Please do let me know!

Hey everyone, just a head's up.

My cats don't like to give me a break, and now my oldest kitty Cairo is hospitalized with severe pancreatitis. I'm still planning on doing the queue tomorrow as scheduled, but I may be more sporadically available this weekend while I focus on Cairo getting better and hopefully coming home. Thanks for your understanding.

I'm sorry for not getting much done yesterday; I barely slept on Thursday night and I was just so exhausted. Cairo is home from the hospital but on a lot of medications. I'm getting some additional work done now.

Sorry, another update. There's a few CWs left, mostly new items, that I didn't get to this weekend - I want to be able to look at them properly when I'm a little less stressed/not so tired. That should be this Wednesday (it's a Wednesday instead of Friday week). Thank you again for all your patience. Cairo is hanging in there but not out of the woods yet.

Cairo has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Please be patient while I deal with this devastating diagnosis and figure out how to navigate things from here.

Our image hosting service is having some issues again (as I know a lot of you have noticed); unfortunately for right now it's making it impossible for me to do the queue because all I see are a lot of blank images. I'll keep checking back throughout the day and get to it as soon as I can.

Hello everyone -- this is a bigger post with a bit more to go over.

First and foremost, Cairo is doing very well at home. She's a trooper for sure. Her next recheck is in a week and a half and we'll keep our fingers crossed that she's continuing to do well. Here's a nice cat tax picture of Cairo from when we took her on a walk last weekend.

Second, I'm remembering that Easter is a thing for once and I'm putting the 31st as an "off" day. I say this because I'll still come on and do the queue - but since everyone else is basically off, there may be a lot of items that aren't noted by the UAs and the like, so there probably won't be a lot of acceptances. But at least I remembered before the day!

Finally, here is the big one:

I will be having major surgery on April 5th. Don't worry, I'm fine! I'd originally just planned to take a week off from Subeta with some coverage and then be back. However, with the physical nature of my main job, I have to take 3 weeks off. I qualify for Washington Paid Family Medical Leave, which is great - it means I won't go hungry those 3 weeks. However, it also means that I (likely) can't work for Subeta for those three weeks, either - or I could lose my benefits, which I definitely can't afford to do!

will be doing the queue for me while I recover, and will be handling CW-related tickets. I'm not actually going anywhere, so I'll be around - but not on the clock. Right now I'm erring on the side of caution and assuming I will be out for those 3 full weeks, but I'll keep you informed if I'm able to come back sooner!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I should be able to return to work this week after all. However I'm not going to put up a schedule for this week or next week; it's honestly going to just sort of how I feel day to day. Probably next week I'll get up a schedule for the weeks following that :) Thanks for all your patience while I recover! Surgery talk under the spoiler for those that wish to avoid it.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you know I've gone ahead and updated the schedule for next week, and I'll be back to posting the weekly schedules in the second post on this thread.

I will add in, it's my first week back at work and I have NO idea how draining it's going to be yet, so I'll be doing my best to keep up with everything! ❤️ Thanks for all the kindness and support during my recovery.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know I'm doing my best to get through things today -- but, honestly, I've had an absolute horrible week (starting from last Saturday) and then I went to the dentist this morning so I just overall feel really shitty. I promise everything will get completely finished by the end of this weekend. It's just taking me longer than I thought. I'm really sorry.

Just a quick schedule change! Next week, the queue will be done on Sunday and Thursday (rather than Sun/Wed for that week). I've updated the schedule in the 2nd post for the next few weeks :)

Hello! Please note a schedule change next week - the queue will be done on Monday the 15th instead of Sunday the 14th, since I'm going camping!

Also -- right now we're having our lovely summer heat wave, and like I've mentioned before, we don't have AC and our house gets unbearably hot. I'm working in patches when I can either get somewhere with AC or can use the computer for a bit. Thanks for the extra patience!
