It's nice to be here. 😀 I'm just taking it easy, I'm without my car for a bit (paint started falling off randomly and the dealership is having the area repainted). Also, trying to stay warm and dry, lol. How was your day, any plans this weekend?

I read a lot (though frustratingly, I read less recently because I've been writing? but I haven't been writing much this month and been reading more heh). I do like fairy tale, folklore, and dystopian based stories sometimes. My favorite is probably science fiction, and I also like fiction that doesn't fall squarely into any particular category, but is kind of cross-genre. I kind of like to be confused by a story and then figure it out as it goes!

Recently I read a book called Siren Queen that was very fairy-tale/folklore/dystopian in nature. It was about the monsters of Hollywood, where most of them were horrors from traditional stories who used their various abilities to make movies and take advantage of each other. Really intriguing style, too!

Oh no about the paint :O The paint on mine is starting to wear and peel a bit too. I hardly use it anymore though now that I stay at home with my kids >_< Same here! It's so cold here today so we are going to stay bundled up inside for the most part XD We have a lunch to go to tomorrow but other than that hopefully just staying in. How about you? :3

Oh what have you been writing? That's fair, science fictional is a fun option, I enjoy reading books from Mary Roach. I'll look up the Siren Queen and see if it's something I'd be into. Not all of the books and or retellings catch my attention. Some do and then I start reading and they blur the line into one another. I don't mind sometimes, other times I like something unexpected and out of the norm.

yes, girl, the paint was completely random and unexpected. Just came right off one morning a week or so ago in an area and I was like um, what? Paint usually gives warning but after some digging, I found my paint specifically has a warranty and is known to just come off. I'm like well that's just awesome, y'all know this and don't change the paint or offer solutions. I'm just thankful mine is covered 100% by the dealer/manufacturer, a lot of people are not so fortunate. Some don't even get approved to be fixed and theirs is far worse. Maybe I lucked out because I'm still paying for my car.

Lunch sounds fun! Y'all enjoy that to the fullest. I'm just staying in, going through some photos I found hidden away. Many of me and my relatives I've never seen so it's been fun. Might go to a movie later or tomorrow, not sure if I'm up for sitting close to people, lol..

- What we need is a quest that knows what you want as a prize and gives it to you, every time. Then, perhaps, people would love doing quests. lol 😂

- My plan for this weekend is to take it easy and wreck havoc on Subeta. Muwahaha! 😂

- I'm doing better. My back and right leg are still sore from the ablation so I'm going to baby it today. I'm hoping the soreness goes away soon. How about you? How are the migraines? :D ❤

- It is fun unless you end up with a kid who can't be embarassed like my youngest. I've accepted the challenge, though, and will find something to EMBARASS HIM WITH EVENTUALLY. 😂 :D

The last couple things I wrote were fanfics for Nina Kiriki Hoffman's Chapel Hollow book series, which is about a family of psychically/magically gifted people who have difficult familial and political relationships with both the nature spirits and ordinary humans around them.

I also wrote one fanfic for the "Temple of the Rat" from some of Ursula Vernon / T Kingfisher's fantasy novels. These were all in December; I haven't written anything yet in 2024...

I asked the hubs and he told me that. I still need to Google and think more seriously about getting one.

Nice, we got ice and people were out on it not realizing it was often black ice last week. I'd rather have had snow; people are terrified of that here. Got up close to 50 here as well today. Oooh I haven't seen any asteroids. I meant I was dabbling in astrology asteroids, just poking around.

OMG people freak out here too when it snows. Years ago I lived in Anchorage and driving in it isn't bad if you have the right wheels on your car and don't drive crazy. Lol Astrology is interesting and I never knew asteroids could impact things. (Just Googled it)
