today. neopets for the igloo garage sale

I checked out Santae a few days ago its new and in beta apparently it looks like it has potential, but not sure.

Neopets. Did my dailies yesterday. I just recently recovered my old Neopets account and was happy to discover that even though my old pets were "dying" all my hoarded stuff was still there. The site is still as laggy and frustrating as I remembered, but I adopted a Vandagyre painted her Christmas, and got myself a couple more Xweetoks. Shame they just sort of dropped the whole Void plot mid-stream, but that's Neo for you.

I am on neopets still and I'm just new to Subeta. I'm honestly really overwhelmed by it here and neo was just so straightforward.

Does anyone have any advice for me on how to get used to this site?

Best advice I can give is if you still have your 1 week gold account thing sell it to make some sp to start off and it'll set you up for success later. And then start doing the npc quests asap. Good luck friend!

Pfffft. The only other pet site I used to frequent would be Neopets, and unfortunately I was a member of that site from like 2002 till around 2008-2009. I joined up here on Subeta in 2004-2005 era, I remember when this place was fairly new. Saving up all my wizard tokens just to zap my pets all the time.

I left neopets for good when they did the big site overhaul, which you would think would include cleaning up that ugly mustard yellow layout that they have drug out since the sites inception...but no... instead they gave all the pets new converted looks that no one asked for. The userbase was actually asking for the old looks back, especially for pets like Hissi and Krawks. Which...the cult following for the Krawk pets will never cease to amaze. I never seen more arguments break out, than over krawks. I don't get it, but they are personally not my cuppa.

Then you had the whole...everyone, and I mean everyone, getting banned all the time because TNT put in a pretty strict TOS and expected a bunch of teenagers to understand it all. Yeah...we will just change the rules, they are between the ages of 8-15, nothing bad can...possibly...happen. Right. Plus they had this brain wracking word filter that made the Forums essentially no mans land.

Idk, it got to a point where is was too much effort and little reward. I have always liked it here, its quiet and sometimes the people can be a little...rude, or off putting, but there is a surprisingly large amount of people on here that are really just nice people, who want a slice peace away from the rest of the world like most of us. There is something kind of beautiful about that. The only thing, I wish it was a little more lively in the forums here. Used to you couldn't get a word in edge wise, not so much these days.

i used to play neopets and webkinz, but i don't think i've signed into them since probably....2010 when i started subeta. subeta scratched the itch i had for a good pet site in a way the other sites just...didn't. webkinz was fun early on, but then they changed the pricing model and such and ruined it so i never touched it again. neopets was just...a hot mess all around lol, i was never a big fan of it

I was a big neopets fan back in the day, but it's probably been a year since I logged in.

I did try neo at the start of the week (still have my old acc from years ago) but I just can't do the new interface and had to pay $12 just to get rid of the ads that took up half the page so that was enough for me of that

I'm on Neo and flightrising too so probably both within the last week.
