i'm stupid, what does exactly the freeze change mean? i just woke up, coffee havent started working yet lmfao

anyway with so many eggs i guess i'll start another new battler eventually, my lowest are tier 6 edit: you can't quick stock the eggs? i'm going to die moving them to vault one by one

The intent was to give us more turns during battle where we do something other than chain freezing our opponents to death :P Opponents will have less of a chance to freeze us now as well. I’m not sure by how much, but he reduced our best scrolls’ freezing chances by 10-20% so it’s fair to assume the opponents will mirror that. In summary: less freezing and more thinking.

The BoNA situation is mega annoying - Why didn't the parched change from freeze protection to steal? Nobody needs steal over freeze to that extent.

I have on average 2 BoNAs (modded over the course of years) on each of the 131 weapons in my armory. They would prevent being frozen and also had the bonus of additional steal protection, if needed. And I knew, how to proceed, if the blessing icon appeared. Now it's all gamble, anyway, no need to pay attention or strategize, just hammer away, you either die or not. All the BoNAs are useless and (though cheap) expenses need to be dumped (it pains me to throw things away, rofl).

In order to replace the BoNAs I am forced to spend a fortune (around 2600 hard tokens) basically all at once for the much more expensive only 50 % efficient Rose Baguettes to gamble for protection and invest a ton of time to exchange the mods. So it's going to put me off battling big time, because it takes 3 hours to scroll down trying to find the weapon and half the time I lose the crystal and have to start from scratch.

After having remembered, that actually I should/could do BQs, when I already was about to sign off just as the news came out, an "easy" lvl 26 challenger freeze-killed my small one 7 times, then I resigned and used a stronger pet to get it done.

...plus, why I usually chose BoNAs over Parched was, that they had good defence!

If he had made Parched steal and Bona freeze then the same complaint would be here for the people needing to switch to Bona from Parched. At least Parched, Bona and Rose are all available in the battle shop and Parched in mass from Forj challengers. I know I'm sitting on a massive pile of battle tokens and mod crystals so it may slant my view on this but this doesn't seem like a huge inconvenience compared to other revamps.

I'm much more interested in seeing how the whole freeze revamp shakes out. Challenger freeze rate changes, freeze spell percents, blessing percents with incomplete protection and how they will interact with each other. Lots to test out there.

I don't understand how the achievement work on the Meatslab, the Furious. I got only one win after the revamp and it already said that I am at 20 wins in the achievement page. Ant I only got one Baal with that. So is that normal to everyone who beats it for more than 20 times before the revamp?

Did you earn 1 Baal for 5 wins before the reset? That was an achievement prize already. And now you got your 2nd for the new tier at 20. Old wins are cumulative for achievements. The achievement didn't get reset, if you've earned your first, you don't get another one for 5 wins.

I'm at 45, but I guess, I have to do an additional fight to trigger the 2nd one for 20 wins. However, I have already spent a fortune and was mega lucky to get a second one :-( (I know, I shouldn't repeat myself, yet just soooo typical - everything gets rereleased, just not what I am after...)

Do you think, people used more Parched than BoNA?

And of course we need yet to see, how it all will work out. Jess' report of the off site talks had made me believe, we'd still be at the old rates until challengers would be altered :-(

I would think more Parched since freeze is generally more important than steal for the vast majority of challengers. Parched lasted more rounds than Bona. Plus the extra Parched in user shops from Forj grinding likely dropped the price on them for people who didn't use battle tokens. Just guessing. They may have checked site data before making the change to know what was more used.

Hm. You have your point. I rather went with the steal bonus and definitely the defence over lasting longer. Bought them quickly and cheap in the battle shop often together with a Crit - and mounted them fast and easily on the new weapon while it was still at the top of the list....

Aah okay. Still prolly gonna stick to my default freeze scroll set anyway I don't have much else xD

That makes sense now, I did get one Baal before the reset on the five wins achievement. But it is kinda confusing at first that why they don't get reset completely for all wins number. And some doesn't even get reset. lol

Slow going for me but I am happy none the less. This reset really will help me with my EXP Hoard Goals and well, once I get to the egg drop challengers I can easily get some of my Littles to tier 4.

You've completed 30 out of 30 quests today. YAY I managed to beat all of them! (Was lucky my second skip on quest 30 gave me an easier opponent lol)

They are still worth it though, as now they drop amulets and Tomes and such. And easy/medium gives stat eggs for the little ones.

I did it, I finally got a new pet and gave it my eggs I had in the vault. Just got 10 wins on cursed effigy with all my pets, lots of tomes and singed scale of red reign.

I also got my Baal. Woo hoo

What challenger drops a crap ton of amulets?

Is it possible to get another bear head bomb, as achievement prize if I already got one?

I need to start looking for the new battle achievements xD

jKat Purge says all challengers (Regular, Secret and Cash Shop) now follow this drop pattern: Easy: Amulets: 50, 100 Tomes: 150 Scroll/Mods: 200 Medium: Amulets: 25, 50 Tomes: 75 Scroll/Mods: 100 Hard: Amulets: 25 Tomes: 50 Scroll/Mods: 75 VH: Tomes: 15, 35 Scroll/Mods: 50 EH: Tomes: 15, 25 Scroll/Mods: 35 Imp: Tomes: 10, 15, 20 Scroll/Mods: 25

Paramnesia challengers no loot after 10 wins and Event challengers are special with their drops.

I used the eggs from 2 pets/ with one pet still needing to get the eggs from the cs challengers and this is what was my base stat pet looks like now.

Level: 46 Health: 192 / 192 Strength: 184 Defense: 164 Speed: 190 Intelligence: 1646 AP: 102 Tier: 3 To Next Tier: 730 / 1200

I will give you and up date after I get the eggs from the cs challengers and use them. That would be a total of eggs gather from just battling 2 pets.

I completely understand. Once I did a single egg challenger with 56 pets I figured the same thing. I adopted a base stats pet because I realized that. Once I get the 5 new pets to Tier 4 I'm going to just ignore the remain egg challengers until I adopt another batch of new pets, possibly year + from now.

Really wish I hadn't raised the 4 new pets to Tier 3 before we knew there was going to be an egg explosion. Oh well, I'm sure the new pets in the distant future will appreciate the eggs.
