wahhhh happy 500 Rogue! What an accomplishment!

I just wrapped a show over the weekend (I'm an assistant stage manager) and I learned that I apparently spread joy/kindness by going above and beyond. A few of the actors paid me an incredible compliment, saying that i'm the best they've ever worked with, because i go above and beyond to make their lives easier, doing things that others they've worked with would simply write off as "not my job". Things like returning costumes and props to the actors at their dressing room stations instead of making them hunt around for them in the dark backstage where they left them after a costume quick change. So that was both spreading joy to me, with their generous compliments, and apparently me spreading joy to them by making their lives easier.

On site, I've been sending out spare ToT/Patch items to users who need them. Irl, I helped out cleaning up an event with a friend, and went out to lunch and bought cookies for everyone.

I’m sitting at the ER with my daughter right now. I was able to spread kindness by giving a child that was hungry some peanut butter cheese crackers and, a bottle of water.

I gifted all my buddy accounts and a lot of gifts the last days and in RL, helped the neighbors to make their house safe for the incoming storm which sweeps over Europe.

It's not..one thing, if that makes sense? I always try to be kind. Always. I work at a mom and pop, grocery store. I find that sometimes you can change someone's day, simply by being kind and patient. By helping someone find something, being patient with an elder who is having a hard time money wise, or a bad memory day. Paying a person a compliment that you really mean. Simply asking someone how their day is, or how they are, and meaning it is so rare for people these days. Telling them you're glad to see them. I mean it every time. I can literally be the difference between a good day, or a terrible one for someone. I feel like it's my responsibility as an employee at a place I love. These are the people who keep our little store going, and we always go the extra mile. I feel kindness is never wasted time.

Yesterday I bought a few things for my mom and helped my grandma determine the gender of her new kitten (it's a girl!)

Today I spread joy by building a huge wooden toy train track with the kids. I enjoyed it more than i probably should.

Today, I am helping a good friend pack her Grandmas house. She will be moving out of the area..

My husband has to get up super early for work so I like to leave funny/loving messages for him to find but I went a step further and cut all his lunch meat into love hearts. He works with manly men but he didn't care if they tormented him or not - he showed everyone hee hee! <3

Next week I will cut his cheese slices into stars ;p
