let me start by introducing myself. hi, i'm poppy. i'm non-binary and proudly they / them, so you know where i'm coming from when i respond further. you're not coming for anyone, and yet you tell people they say they're "pandering" to people who do not use binary terms because they don't want a title changed? because it's a classic pop culture reference that the majority of the people here understand and love? i, personally, don't want them changed. i like them as they are, but would personally love the ability to either mix and match or have a choice of the gendered / non-gendered term.

i stand by that no one should be erasing anyone, but are we REALLY erasing cis and non-cis people by not changing these titles? like, one side won't be happy with this change, no matter what side you're on. there is no winning this situation. furthermore, i'm all for inclusivity, but that includes EVERYONE, even cis people in the lgbtqia+ community, which in part, you'll be erasing if you want to make these titles gender neutral.

but i do like your point of titles reflecting what people have set as their gender on their profile, but that seems like a piece of coding that would be very, very, VERY on the back burner - even if it's considered by keith. this site has more problems than not that need addressing before this.

I would support the addition of non-gendered and/or opposite-gendered titles to go with the currently available gendered ones. Even for the ones that are meant to be references, I don't see the harm in doing that. That being said, I wouldn't want the titles we have changed to be neutral since they're popular references, or for them to change based on the gender you have set on your profile - just add more options and let users pick the title they want to go with

I agree don't change it unless its offensive. They can add, just please not change. I myself dislike the got laid title for flowers given to statue for survival. Instead i just donate the flowers hoping someone else will use them and get it if they like that title.
