I don't know if certain breeds do better with cats but if you start with a puppy you can train it to be good with your kitties. While I support rescuing a pup you don't always know how they've been treated by previous humans. Good luck my friend in whatever you decide on!! :-)

I'm sure we will figure it out ^^ I'll probably just get another cat for my fiance since he's scared of dogs and getting him used to them is pretty hard since most dogs our friends have are either untrained or the more excitable breeds so they jump on him scaring him more

I used to be afraid of dogs too. When I was little my grandpa's Pomeranian always bit either my brother or myself. :-D A cat does sound like the best choice. :-)
