Update on my ankle. My ortho surgeon has completely passed the buck on my ankle saying that I need to see the doc at the University of Virginia for further treatment. He won't do anything further except give me a prescription for a knee scooter. I passed on that as I've got a walker and a wheelchair already. So, nothing will happen with my ankle until I'm able to get down to UVa. I'm not happy about this at all and plan to let the doc who referred me to this surgeon know. So, unless a holiday miracle happens I'll have to learn to live with it as no one here will do anything. Yay for our medical system. :(

- I'm as ready as I can be. All the gifts arrived and I've got all the fixings for our holiday dinner. So, unless something pops up last minute, I'm good. Good luck braving the supermarket! :D

What a pita! And you went to all that trouble and he said he wouldn't touch it. That means he didn't think he would get paid for doing the surgery on your ankle he knew you needed. Ugh.

- Yeah, I'm pretty angry about it. What I didn't know when I made the above post was that he refused to explain the MRI findings in layman's terms and refused to give me a diagnosis. He said specifically that he spoke to the radiologist who did the MRI and they both agree that I need to go to a different doc but won't tell me why. I just don't understand why he won't tell me what's wrong with my ankle. I don't even know who to complain to about his lack of professionalism in this area. Oh, man, I'm getting all worked up again and I just calmed down. LMAO! What Christmas/Luminaire cheer I have. :D

- that always seems to happen to me, too. So, I now order twice as much as I need. Sometimes I end up with extra but at least I didn't run out. :D

Hope everyone effected by the winter storm is safe and warm. We're currently under a level 2 snow emergency. Less for the snow than the ice. It's currently -7°F which oddly is colder than when I first got up several hours ago. Windchill is -33°F. My one brother drove up from Kentucky yesterday but he didn't want to stay at the house so he's at a hotel. No idea if the roads will be clear for him to get here today or not. It's all very stressful. I do wish he'd have been willing to stay here.

- I know he should. His whole handling of the issue is highly unprofessional and I'm filing a complaint as soon as I know who to file it with. Everything is winding down now for the holiday so I'm going to put my anger aside and enjoy the festivities. When the holiday is past and things start to open up again, I'll resume my crusade. :D I can't wait for Christmas because we got an apple cinnamon glazed ham for our dinner. It's going to be so yummy! :D

- I comiserate. I used to be like that but I have an 18 yr old son whose brain is like a steel trap when it comes to anything food related. He is my reminder system. lol :D

In all fairness those moments were brief so easy to miss. I didn't realize anything was happening with the frame rate until I looked it up.

My american friends be and stay safe!

We're doing good. Ridiculous cold but we're all here and can be together and warm. And my brother finally could drive to the house about dinner time yesterday from his hotel. Drove 20mph and it was fine he said. I hope the road crews are getting double time for their efforts. Our local ones seem to have done well and fairly quickly for the holiday.

Merry Christmas all and thank everyone for the presents. I am very tired. Had family over for a few hours to open presents. Tired.

I spent most of the day with my family and friends. Dad made beef stew and we made pumpkin pudding together. I got a midi keyboard that works with a music software I had been wanting. It's tomorrow I'm mainly looking forward to though. My roommates and I are having our Yule celebration tomorrow. We have a large banquet prepared and are going to marathon Lord of the Rings, plus of course open our gifts for each other. It'll be a fun time o3o
