I'm sorry. The topic was getting intertwined with a few different issues that have been hot-button in the past, such as the autopricer being mentioned. There were also situations brought up, like CW purchasing and reselling, where we don't want to put our thumb on the scale.
In terms of being more like a bug thread, though, there is the issue that resources are stretched between a lot of different projects. Subeta has a single coder, trying to handle everything on the site. We know that blocking needs an entire redo and I did put peoples' suggestions into the documentation. However, I was also worried about it getting moving away from suggestions (we do love those!), and into more venting as has happened sometimes before and doesn't decrease the overall temperature, and acted preemptively over it. Trying to be proactive is tricky and it didn't work out this time. My apologies. I am going to re-opening ale's thread to gain more feedback and so we can continue the discussion as a community.

If someone is harassing you, please file a ticket and we can take direct action under community guidelines up to and including freezing! Rejoining a ping group when blocked, for instance, does count. We just can't code more handling into the current software at the moment (see previous note about just the one coder), which is why it's vital we get the information from you especially since staff can see a pattern where otherwise it might not be so clear.

There's definitely some leeway, and people discussing something they're upset about is going to be part of a suggestion thread; after all, someone may have come to an idea to fix something based off of a negative experience. But it's hopefully more of a one-two kind of deal where people are comfortable suggesting a solution or willing to talk about it as an overall kind of thing rather than getting too personal/targeting or otherwise hitting something in the community guidelines. It's also about understanding that while there are limits to timeframe and resources, it doesn't mean things will never get done! Benefit of the doubt and hope are important as well.
