Ahh, I am right there with you not being an avid restocker. As for the items, I'm mostly interested in wearables, minions, foods for my Gourmand and treasure chest fodder. In that order, pretty much. lol

Ugh, that's the only thing I DON'T like about the holidays.. the lag and spits and sputters on the site. But yes, you're right.. they usually do something to make up for it, so there is that. :)

Yeah, I'm logged in now.. but I'm set to Idle.. so no one knows I'm actually 'on'. I hear ya about the anxiety. I'm having some tonight. I haven't heard from my daughter all day. Normally she sends me a snapchat or 20 throughout the day.. and I've gotten zero. :/ She also usually on Subeta at least off and on.. and she hasn't been on. I'm trying not to worry.

I just want all the things. I collect everything! And I often need multiple copies too. Oh well, even a restocking event is better than nothing...it'll keep us busy. And the new item art is always awesome.

I miss having a zapper pet, maybe I'll get another one. Sometimes it's hard to decide if I want to keep a good zap or keep going though.

I just like zapping to see what I'll get. I currently have 4, well '5' experiment pets if you count the one I have for adoption. I got the 911 zap day before yesterday, and gave her to a good friend who has been trying for that experiment for ages. After I sent her on her way, I created a new pet, zapped her and got the 911 AGAIN! xD If no one takes her by Thursday night, I'll probably close my adoption thread and just keep zapping her. I just feel like she's a cool pet and someone would probably really like to have her.

You should totally get a new zapper pet. :) It's fun and you never know, you might get something really good. I tend to get creepy experiments... and then they turn Chibi. I currently have a chibi spider experiment that I think my daughter is going to make an overlay for... pastel Halloween colors.. green, purple and orange MAYBE... and I'll write up a cute little blurb for her. I just wish I knew how to code pet profiles. I'm going to try to learn, I think. Do you know any coding?

I sell pretty much everything I get from questing because I already have most of the restockables and I don't even remember the last time I emptied my shop till. I'm just saving up indefinitely, not for any particular goal. I can't even really imagine ever spending it. But I do spend the sP I get directly from quests. This year I pushed really hard to get all the foods for my gourmand and he just needs four things now which I'll have to buy from the October collections. Right now I'm mostly just grabbing random minions I need and the cheaper animal chance machine critters. I kind of want to get serious about finishing my other collections (plushies, beanbags, stickers) but I dread having to buy all the cash shop ones. It would cost a fortune!

Same, but I like so many of the experiment pets that I want to keep almost everything I get. Usually the zapper just changes my pet's gender back and forth a ton though. I'm sure there's somebody out there who wants that particular pet! I don't know if you like using the adoption center but pets always get snapped up out of there pretty fast, especially experiments. So you wouldn't have to worry about her sitting around in the pound forever if you went that route.

I like the creepy ones the most. I have that same chibi spider and I love him! Yours will look awesome with an overlay like that. I do kind of wish they were another color; that blue isn't spooky enough haha.

I can fumble my way around with code when I have to but I always have to research it each time. Like, I coded my profile but I don't remember how lol. I like to use a basic free template I found somewhere for pet profiles, especially since Subeta's code is kind of in limbo until they release New Subeta and the current state of things renders some fancier profiles broken. Not worth the effort for me to figure it out until I know they're done working on the back end. I keep my pets pretty simple anyway; I don't write elaborate stories for them or anything. Some of them have stories but they're staying in my head. :P

Wow.. you got all the foods?? That is insane to me! My pet has only eaten 1/3 of the available foods. I get so tired of feeding him everyday. Poor guy. lol I stuff him while all my other pets starve. lol

I'm going for the highest shop till achievement. I think I have close to 220m in there now. I hope they don't release another, higher tier after I take my sP out of the till. Maybe I'll be like you and just leave it in there. xD

I don't collect the beanbags, plushies and stickers. I mean, I have some of each, but it puts my anxiety into overdrive.. like feeding my pet. That puts me over the edge.. because I feel like I need to do it NOW... and I know I can't.. so.. anxiety. lol I'm weird. ;P

I'll advertise her again in there when I get up tomorrow.. and hope someone takes her. I have loyalty boxes that I could use to create a new pet slot, but I already have 30 pets. And I said no more. Yeah, but to be fair, I've been working on everything consistently for a long time. I came back from a hiatus in 2012 and I've done all my quests almost every day since, so I kind of should have everything by now...and yet, I still don't! It's amazing (and quite daunting) how many items there are on this site. I'd hate to be new here now and just trying to get started with all this.

Good luck with the shop till achievement! I would hope they wouldn't release more tiers for achievements like that which involve hoarding anything, whether items or currencies, since they have claimed to not wish to encourage hoarding.

30 pets? That's hardly any! lol I always use my loyalty boxes for pet slots (83 slots currently; 81 filled). There's always room for more pets. :P

As for coding, as with most things, I just figure it out as I go. I did learn some HTML in school but that was before CSS existed in its current state. I just look up tutorials and mess with stuff until it works. I don't really know what I'm doing lol.

I do sometimes write a short blurb for my pets but that's about all they're going to get in that regard. I do other things for them though, like eventually giving them a basic, nice profile, working on their TCs and reading to them. (Poor Spooper is not a good example of this haha. I really do need to work on him. But at least now he has a new friend!) In any case, I don't think anyone should actually feel guilty about not writing a novel or commissioning art or whatever for their pets. They're yours to do what you want with! (Apparently, some people feel entitled to ask for your pets if you're "not doing anything with them" but fortunately I haven't experienced that myself. I guess my pet names are too weird and not desirable, which is fine. lol)

Yep, if I get anything I don't have yet from quests, I keep it and add it to the appropriate collection, although like I said I have most of the restockables now so I end up selling most of what I get.

Lol I'm not as rich in sP terms as you might be thinking because most of my wealth is tied up in items (many of which can never be liquidated because they're stuck in collections). You know those weapon lootboxes they released a while back as an sP sink for the rich battlers? I can't even afford one and I don't understand how anyone has billions just laying around. (I just checked and is 9 billion sP, that is insane to me. I am never going to see 9 billion sP in my life.)

Haha well the nice thing about virtual pets is that they don't require or ask for much. I only routinely feed my gourmand and battlers. The rest get a nibble here and there when Major Drills asks me to feed a pet; I just give it to different ones at random. Same thing with toys. I train them all enough to get a good job though and I read all restockable and relatively cheap books I get to all of them. I'm always looking for items to stuff in all their TCs too. I like having so many pets because I collect everything and I'm more likely to have an appropriate TC to put stuff in that way. It's basically a way to have lots of galleries.

I think the asking for pets thing used to happen a lot more often when pet names had to be unique. I haven't heard anyone mention it in a while but it did happen. I even saw a friend on here (she's no longer playing) ask for someone else's pet, I cringed so hard. 😬 I never would have expected her to do that. The few times I've cared about the birth date I just...wait until that day and create it. You get the chance to do it yourself every year! Except in the case the year matters to you, but I imagine that's pretty rare.

I'm going to start doing that. After my quests, add to the appropriate collections.. but after I reach my big sP goal. :D I'm hoping it won't take too terribly long. Maybe a few months. Depends on if I can sell the higher priced stuff in my shop! lol

Yes, my daughter was doing pretty well grabbing the new wearables... I got all the mermaid bodies... and several pieces of the various tops and fins. I am hoping she will be on again sometime to try to grab at least the head fins.. I really like those. The shoulder fins interfere with the hair I used, one of the new Dripping ones. xD

I'm a little bit upset about Petri...when I first created him, I had an amazing story idea (at least, I remember thinking so at the time) about how and why he was created in a lab and had all these blob buddies and I kept thinking about it and expanding it in my head but for some reason I didn't write it down. And then I completely forgot it. I hardly ever come up with stories about my pets and I was finally going to have a good one I felt like sharing. Argh!

I had to change some of the settings in Chrome to make Subeta and questing really work for me on my phone. I don't even remember what they were but I remember googling how to do such and such and I had to go into the experimental devtools to tweak stuff. So it's not the most convenient thing, but maybe I just have weird preferences too (like the absolute dire NEED for night mode).

Did you get everything you wanted from Freyalise? I got so lucky, I snagged the last item I needed (one of the books) 15 minutes before the shop closed, whew! I got a lot of duplicate items though so let me know if you missed out on something, I might have a spare.

Yep, I know the thread you're talking about and I did post a big rant (or two) in it. It's a timer that you run into after quickly purchasing like 7 items from user shops that makes you wait a few seconds before you can buy again. I don't think it's going to have the intended result (which I guess is to reduce hoarding? I'm not sure, I just don't think it'll be effective for anything except annoying users and making it needlessly difficult to buy up junk items to frag/recycle).

Lucky for you, I had a spare whale! The items that were new this year should stock along with next year's new items.
