I'm sorry I'm lost as to who D is.... :( The entire situation sounds completely awful, though.
Not a weed smoker although I wouldn't mind trying some edibles (I have before) on occasion and don't mind others that do, although I ABHOR the smell of it. I just hate those self righteous smokers that think they're better than drinkers. Like, wtf?!! Your vice isn't any better than mine!!
Kat, when I get pissed off or thoroughly aggravated I drop f-bombs like crazy. I just can't think straight and nothing but swear words come out of my mouth. Mostly when I'm driving and there's just nothing intelligent you can say to your windshield. I put a considerable amount of effort into an argument if I'm having one to not feel like a complete idiot by my lack of words.
I know a LOT of people would've chosen differently when they have kids - to stay with the other parent FOR the kids - but I never saw the good that came out of that and I've never regretted leaving when I did. I got slack from everyone - randos, coworkers and teachers alike for being divorced. It got pretty depressing at times but I don't want to go into all that.
My gawd Mieke, that's a LOT of liquor! That's like a NYE party! I'm pretty much the only drinker in my family besides my dad. I miss those times we would drink together. My brothers are weed fanatics and my mom is just a judgy B.
Ohh I forgot to mention, I watched The Santa Claus also the other night. I'd seen it before but rewatched it. Haven't seen the others. It was cute. We watched Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special last night and it was hilarious. Wish I could've watched more of it but I was getting up a lot to finish up the cooking.

Yes, she just turned 18 the end of August. She graduated in June. Shes lived with my in-laws since they were 2 and 4, off and on. And full time since they were in kindergarten and 2nd grade.
Just.. ridiculous.
And yeah, I don't really cuss much either. Sometimes though, it's warranted. And now, whenever I DO, everyone stops and looks at me like,.. WHAT. :P So they really take attention haha.
I don't smoke anything, or drink much. I had two half strength jack and gingers last night LOL. Alex doesn't drink much either. We're definitely the odd ones out in that family. But.. he grew up seeing his parents and such like that, and drinking too much. And my mom was addicted to pain killers, and my mom and Charlie (bio dad) both drank too much. So I grew up.. not touching anything stronger than half a dose of regular strength tylenol.
Kat, I'm proud of you for realizing that, overall, it wasn't a bad thing.
Whew... I already miss sleeping in, lol. Even if it was for an hour or two. At least today is the only day I'm working until next year and I'm cutting out early today since I had to log in the past 2 days to check on the work that I did. Of course, I'll still have to wait until the evening to do anything while I'm off... unless I want to be in the car for an hour in the morning to take my brother to work and come back. -_-

Apparently it "snowed" last night while I was asleep. Guy hubby works with posted a picture of snow on the ground in Atlanta, and so I grumped at hubby (teasingly) about him getting to see snow (he went to Atlanta too) and then he called and told me there was snow at his HOUSE (30min away) when he got up at 1am. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! No. And the ground is WET OUTSIDE!! So I bet I got snow too and it already melted and I didn't get to see it falling cries
I sort of slept in ? I didn't wake up til 620. I guess you can call that sleeping in since I've been waking up around 5 lately even tho my normal wake up time is 6. I got a shower and I feel sooooo good right now. Nice hot water soak in the shower. Should have used a shower steamer, I forgot I had them :P Next time.
Oof that is a bit of a drive just to be able to have your car, especially if you need to go back and get him too.
Oh. Hubby and the divorce, etc :P I know it was so hard for you (rightfully!), and you were having problems with it.
IDK I guess I'm just proud of you overall, you've had a rough, weird year, and you have freaking ROCKED it and you're just amazing, is all.
Flying visit. Not even back reading.
Thank you all who put a present under my tree. Loved them all. Your generosity was above and beyond as usual. I’ve only just picked them up 😊
Plus yesterday was my 14th anniversary on here. So picked up my training totum.
Still feeling rubbish. Went and did a little sale shopping today then slept for 7 hours. Posted a little haul on Facebook
Once I’m feeling better gifts will be sent. So keep your eyes open in that toolbar.
I have tomorrow off work as holiday. Then back to it Thursday. Not in the office thankfully. It’s only for two days then it’s a three day weekend. So hoping to feel better for NYE.
Hope you all had a lovely holiday season. Shall be back more actively when I’m feeling better. Love to you all.
Thats probably what I should do with my totem - I got it back in Oct and just locked it in place...Keep forgetting to think about it and decide what to do. But I don't want any more pets at the moment (plus I think I can get 6 more w/o a totem right now anyway!) and some of the other things just don't appeal to me at all, never have. I think I did use the last 2 totems for training too.....
Sorry you are still not feeling well. I have enjoyed seeing your shopping spree on facebook, although it does make me jealous!! :P I love some of those items and wish I could get some stuff like that too. Oh well. Maybe one day ;) I hope you feel better soon!!
Edit: You found a fairy while making a post! You got a forum point while making a post! Check out the shop here!
ok then! lol
Got to sleep in until 7:30 this morning. :D Now I'm wishing I had my car. There are things I need to do! Sure hope he finds a car soon or figures out another way to and from work.
The snow is slowly melting and by this weekend with the rain coming in, it's just going to be a soggy, dreary mess.
Gave the dog a bath the other day. I don't know how he gets to stinking so bad but I can't stand it. Wish I had a bunch of extra towels I could put on the side porch so that he could wipe his paws after all this stuff melts and gets muddy and yucky.
Need to do some questing. I've seriously depleted my funds. I'd rather find s/thing more physical to do that ISN'T cleaning, though. I've got a long piece of wood that I'm going to cut up and make into trays so maybe I'll do that later.

Thrift store or dollar store near you? Get some cheap towels to do that with? Maybe? Or splurge get yourself nice new towels and use old ones for dog lol There are also these "bath wipes" or something I've seen at Walmart? Don't know if you'd want to try those instead of a full on bath for the dog. No idea what they cost. I've seen them in passing.... Might help with the stink
I slept til...620am. sigh a little sleep in. Was nice. I've been bad about doing quests lately too. I need to stay on it. I need sooooo many quest points.
Edit: 325pm Can I interest you in a(n) Bento Cucumbers for only 125CSC? Act now, I only have 19 left! HECK YES YOU CAN MR HUSTLER!!! BUYS
You've earned the Cool as a Cucumber achievement!
Whoooo, congrats Kat!
I've got a stack of old towels, both in the garage, and by the doors, that we use to wipe down the dog with. Kohls often has them for like, $2.99, and they're good enough to use for a few years, and then good for naother few years to clean stuff with haha.
Yesterday Frell and I went shopping. We ran to Sams, out to Wendys for some lunch, stopped at teh Goodwill to drop off a big ole armchair and two more bags of stuff that we missed the first trip..and got a new gaming rocking chair thing? There's not enough room on the couches downstairs since the dog takes up at least half, if not 2/3 of one, and she's so old that no one has the heart to kick her off. So this will come in handy! Then we ran to Walmart, then the mall.
Picked Lynnes Christmas and birthday presents up (her birthday was yesterday. this is fine!), got some socks that I had wanted.. halloween socks, but only 97 cents a pair vs the $17 for 3 pairs they wanted on-line for hearts! It's too cold to go without them, and the Old Navy ones just fit so well!
Hit up good sales at Yankee Candle and B&BW too.
Then when we got home, our friend Matt was here. So when Alex came home we played some Mario Party, a new board game, ate some dinner.. then more Mario Party haha.
A game chair is what Ryan got Nathan for Christmas. Since Shane asked if he could have the bedroom back, I talked with Nathan and he agreed if he could get new furniture for the middle room to be his game room (the old couch wouldn't fit in the doorway and he didn't want to use the twin bed as seating). So I told Shane he would have to buy his own bed and help with furniture for Nathan in order to get the bedroom back. Long story short... Ryan bought Shane a bed and Nathan a chair and the rooms were switched. Other furniture will have to wait. They are still using old sort of broken dressers and shelving units for now (for the gaming systems and clothes for Shane)
I would love to go sale shopping but I'm broke so staying away from stores. Need to keep what $ I have to pay for my bills and school books in Jan lol
I'm hoping to find a few things in clearance when I get paid tomorrow. B&BW is having some decent sales, but mostly it's for scents I already have or don't want more of. I guess I could get more of the Winter Candy Apple smell, but I don't use it that much.
Put together a plant stand I've had for a week or so. It was a bit of a pita but I managed and now I'm happy as hell. It fits perfectly in the plant corner of my living room and I have extra space for MORE PLANTS! lol Been watering certain ones and adding hydrogen peroxide to keep the gnats away. S/thing I recently learned. It actually kind of looks bare over there with the space I got per shelf. I need to get some dirt and do some winter transplanting b/c my spider plants are growing like crazy. Like, TAKE A BREAK! I don't know why they're so expensive in the stores, considering how much and how fast they multiply.
Still have cleaning to do, of course. Made it worse by breaking the big candle I showed you guys. It wasn't burning right (nothing new when using spent wax) so I was going to redo it and instead of putting it in the oven to get an overall heat to it, I put it on a small burner, on some foil, at the lowest temp and it cracked!! What had melted spilled underneath the burners and on the top and down the front of the stove, so, that's another cleanup I added.
I'll get around to it.
See Mieke, I never look at Kohl's for shopping b/c they're overpriced. I don't look at a lot of places b/c I don't know how to find sales like that. I have been catching the occasional $3 towel bins at Walmart, but I haven't seen them lately.
I generally avoid getting thrift store clothes UNLESS I'm about to do laundry, since I don't have a washer/dryer at my place. When there was a laundromat a few blocks away from me, I used to hit up the thrift store every month.
Thinking of what else I can do that ISN'T cleaning... lol. I have a couple of organizers for under the sink so maybe I'll get to that.

Oh yeah, The Big One towels. They seriously go on sale for $2.99 like.. IDK, pretty often though. Right now they're $4.99, but there will probably be a coupon out soon.
Winter Candy Apple is most of what I picked up! I love the lotion with the hyaluronic acid. So I picked up one of those, and a bunch of the shower gels, because i like to use them as bubble bath. I also got a cucumber melon lotion (Going all the way back to high school with my picks!). And then a Sweet Whiskey candle (which was only $3.50 for some reason?!) and a winter candy apple one. Oh, and a WCA sanitizer and lotion set.. and then a big lotion sanitizer in WCA LOL.
Today we're finishing cleaning up Lilys room, because we're taking the old mattresses out, then we'll unbunk her beds, take the top one apart and put it in the garage. Her new mattress and mattress cover will be here tomorrow!
Ok so I organized under the sink and had a lot of crap to throw away and other stuff that rarely gets used (really specific cleaners) that I put in a small bucket bin I got from dollar store that I'll put downstairs but overall, just made more work for myself. GAWD! I've totally lost steam with cleaning. Overall I'm pretty sure it's the irritation at how little my brother does - and I DO say s/thing about it - to help out. It's like I'm taking care of a teenager again.
Speaking of... last night I took my car to a car wash and had to wait half an hour in line. Probably would've left but it wasn't an easy area to back out of and it was dark and unlit you get back to the side of the gas station. But wholly hell my car was CAKED in not just salt from the roads but clay crap from the road that goes to his work. What's worse is that it was caked all the way up to the windows! I had difficulty seeing my sideview mirrors!! You don't get that from driving normally on salt caked roads so I was pissed. HE should be the one taking it to a damn carwash but shows NO respect to it.
I told him he's got 2 weeks to figure shit out b/c once my daughter flies up here, the car will no longer be available so he'd better make plans. Hopefully that lit a fire under his butt. His house is about 20min closer to work AND it's directly on the highway to his work so he just needs to get his shit turned on and STAY THERE!
Think I'm going to go cut up this wood so the loud sounds of the saw can fill up my head. -_-
[edit] Board cut. My measurements SUCK! lol Although I did try to mostly eyeball it. I have one that is 2 inches longer than the other but as long as I have ONE decent sized tray, I'm happy. Drilled the pilot holes for the handles and noticed my drill needs charged so I'll have to finish it later or tomorrow. Sanding is already done so I can just stain the sides while I wait for the drill to charge.
Feeling better. 😂

I hate how the drill ALWAYS needs to be charged when you want to use it :P ALWAYS. Like.. never fails :P
Just booked some summer trips, and looked into the ones we didn't book yet. I'm starting to look forward to it!
My car needs to go to the car wash....my driveway is washed out gravel so it's a lot of mud. Georgia red clay mud. So fun Not
But when I think about it, I think it'll just get dirty again right away soooo I don't go to the car wash. I may have Nathan pressure wash it off at least....maybe tomorrow ... If it doesn't rain like it's supposed to again.
Winter candy apple is an ok scent. I prefer vanillas best. But like anything sweet or cinnamony
Oohh summer trips. Where are you going, make me jealous 😝
I loatheeeee vanilla smells! LOL
Ugh my car needs a wash too, but I'm waiting for the rain. :( I can't afford the $25 right now. There's only one place around here and it's expensive for a drive through one!
We're going to Great Wolf for two nights for Els graduation/18th birthday, including a friend.
Then Hershey Park for two days for Isabelles 10th birthday. Have to find cheapish lodging though. :/ She's been obsessed with chocolate since she was a baby.. her first words were a sentence, when she was 9 months old. "No ba, chocolate". So it's perfect for her! And she loves rides, too.
And three nights at Ricketts Glen state park. There's a lake with a beach, and lots of hiking trails with waterfalls!
And a day trip to Hickory Run State Park to see the boulder field. It's so cool, and Alex is the only one that's ever been there!
"This rocky landscape is a National Natural Landmark and state park natural area. Boulder Field appears striking because of its flatness and the absence of vegetation over the large area of 400 feet by 1,800 feet. Some of the boulders are 26 feet long."
And then we'll get season passes for the orchard again, except this year, we'll get one for Alex, too.
So we're not going far, staying within an hour and a half for everything, but it should be really fun! And then there will be stuff all summer long, instead of waiting for a big family trip that's a week long... and as dreaded as it is looked forward to :P
