so the so called rain wasn't happening so i went out this morning after the kids were gone to work on laying out the garden so i could start FINALLY planting but the mosquitoes were way tooo bad. i had to abort my mission. i think i got about 2/3 of it layed out and ready. hope to try tomorrow as long as i'm not too tired after grocery shopping and the bugs aren't too bad again.

We are trying and it definitely a process. We still let Michael get out of his bed and come to ours when he wants too. Last night Eric got Michael to bed and ended up falling sleep there, so I get up to use the restroom around 530 again and see them both sleeping. It was so adorable. I know it'll happen eventually, so I'm definitely not rushing it.

Awww that's so sweet <3 Jesse still sleeps with us for now. I like the comfort of having him beside me. I know eventually we will have to move him to his own room though >_<

It is a nice feeling of having them in bed with us. I like listening to Michael breath while he is sleeping, then he'll fling an arm in my direction and hit me in the face while he is rolling over haha :P

- so it's a scooter with a handle like a regular scooter that we played with as kids? except the seat is higher and you're supposed to rest your knee on it instead of sitting? is your lower leg and foot supported or does it just hang there? if what i'm imagining is right then i can see how 2 of them would be dangerous. lol 😂 oh no, are you having problems with your eyes? i really hope not. it's not easy to tame your a1c. congrats on getting yours to lower. i hope it stays lowered as i know how hard it is to lower it.:D

- actually, we moved here from a house because of my disabilities. i can't climb stairs safely anymore. my hubby is also disabled. he's medically retired army and is rated 100% disabled/unemployable by the v.a. due to injuries he recieved in a "training accident". he's unable to maintain a yard or house. before i became sick the kids and i were able to maintain a yard and house. after i became sick and the kids (all but 1) were old enough and flew the nest we sat down and discussed our situation and our options. it wasn't fair to lump all the house and yard maintenance on our youngest so we decided the best thing to do was find someplace with no stairs and that didn't require us to maintain either the house or yard. in my area that means an apt. we found a ground floor apt in an older, lower income community. the building only has 4 apts in it: 2 up and 2 down. my neighbors are quiet and keep themselves to themselves but are there to help if we need it. at this point in our lives this is the best living situation we could ask for. i've done the house thing and it just isn't right for us right now. now, if i won the lotto or came up with some fantastic million dollar idea, then i would go the house route again as i could hire people to maintain it. :) :D (sorry for the encyclopedia-like post. lol 😂 )
