Right now what makes me happy is that my daughter finally graduated from college, with honors. :D So proud of her. And I'd be thrilled with any of the items. They are all lovely.

Waking up alive in the Sierra Nevada wilderness makes me happy. Seeing the chickadees and flickers build nests in the houses I made for them brings me joy. Watching bears, coyotes, deer, and other wildlife come to drink at the pond I dug for a waterfall feature in my yard, makes my heart soar. I would love to be entered for any of these;

I was listening to music on my phone this morning and came across a Christmas song that escaped my playlist purging in January. It made me so happy to hear it. ^_^

Something that makes me happy? Let's talk about my goofball cats, shall we? Little nutballs are adorable. The weather earlier this week was stupendous (mid 70's and clear), so we set up a giant screened in canopy on the lawn specifically so we could take our indoor cats outside to sit next to the bird feeder. Boy what an adventure. We accidentally trained the cats to be more vocal when they were kittens, so now they are absolute conversationalists. But one never really learned to meow properly, so she just squeaks. It's adorable and pathetic. They looove getting brushed and will absolutely scream for brushies. And if you wake them up from a nap they'll let out raspy (or in the squeaker's case, soundless) noises.

Something recently that has made me happy is that my 40-year-old hoya carnosa plant has a bloom stalk - it hasn't had one for over 10 years! I'm very pleased to finally have let it be comfortable enough to bloom.
