Oh Chess is challenging and fun! I taught my kids how to play. I never just let them win, but I did tell them why they lost. When they finally beat me they knew they had won because of their skill. I can still see their faces the first time they each had beaten me. It was a celebration both times! :)

Me neither. I learned the fingering so as to fake that I was playing in school concerts - if I had been playing the concert would've had a lot of screeching. Mom clued in fast; the teacher remained oblivious.
