Love about Lumi Honestly one of my fave parts of lumi is the gift above threads, don't get me wrong I LOVE my friends and the kind of happiness this holiday brings. Back in the day my activity on site was those gift threads in the giveaway section and that's how I made some of my first friends on site. So it's kinda nostalgic for me.
Holiday Movie Oh wow that's such a hard one for me because a lot of Christmas movies don't sit well with me (old animation and there's a lot of claymation and stop animation in old xmas movies and they just freak me out) but anyway, I am going to be that person and say Die Hard. We watch it every year because you know... it's the rules.
Holiday Food Growing up in a Jewish family I didn't really celebrate Christmas as a get together until I was into my teens. I'll never forget the first year I had turkey from my great grandmother, she'd make it overnight and we'd have dinner by like 3pm after she'd wake us up at 6am to open gifts. You know I'll be honest, I didn't expect to divulge into stories about my life writing these but this is the first time I've thought about my gg in awhile. She'd always wake up in the middle of the night to check on the turkey and one year I managed to wake up in the middle of the night. Pitch black in the dark, you got this old lady in her 80s in a nightgown, mind you for this you need to know she had a stroke in her 60s and she couldn't open her left eye correctly. So I caught her checking on the turkey and she just turns around with her corked 1 open eye she says in this super deep voice while handing me a fork "Would you like the heart?" it was the creepiest thing ever xD I'll never forget it. Turkey, turkey is my fave, but I haven't ever ate the heart.

Usually we have my side for Christmas Eve and then on Christmas Day we go to my husband's side and open and pass out presents. Usually a very unhurried day to get to in-laws. Potluck with my side (thank goodness). Plus I love the way my home smells with a fresh Christmas tree in the living room.
