ooooh I see. When I googled beanie kids it showed me human beanie babies!! Ngl they are a bit creepy. I didn’t exclusively have cat beanie babies but I had at least maybe 6-7 that were cats? There was a silver tabby, ginger, white, tuxedo, tiger and leopard from what I remember.

The old wardrobe wasn’t that different but I think it had a limit on how many items you could put on each layer (1-2 maybe?) so it was way more limited what outfits you could create! It’s more fun now if a little buggy but unlike neopets the staff seem to actually be working on fixing things lol

I mean, the NFT stuff is just the last drop on the cup for me, but not even the sheer existence of NFTs, but the whole issue with the Metaverse team and how in the face awful they are and Jumpstart nor NetDragon does anything for real to deal with them.

But like, it's just been... So long since I've actually felt actual joy playing on Neo, so many aspects have just become more and more stressful in recent years, even to the point where I'm getting silenced left and right for things that make no sense, but also, the broken site, the fact JS had a 7 year deadline to modernize the site and managed to miss it, the cash grabs, the art thieving, the scandals, the denying the truth and muffling anyone's dissenting opinions, the terrible support team, the low effort to maintain the bare minimum of the site while eternally saying they're working on some secret project to fix the site but you barely see any result despite the deadlines, the fact that it's 2021 and neopets still doesn't have security and so your account is literally open for people to hack regardless of how safe your pw is or how many times a year do you update your info, the fact that somehow the NC Mall stuff is still being pushed out regularly and constantly despite the fact that everything else in the site suffers from serious neglect, but mainly, the disrespect of the team towards its userbase, where they baby us and had us on homophobic filters until literally last year (which were only removed because people did stink on Twitter and complained to the games award Neopets was running in because they bragged about being LGBT+ friendly), and the terrible, terrible, extremely awful moderation that didn't do jack about an active predator on the NC for 5 years, and also let other creepy characters roam around the site, and let people post horrible things with a common frequency and take their sweet time to remove it, and yet I can't say a freaking word like "girlfriend" without getting silenced...

It's just... too much. I can only let my dignity go so much for a site that's meant to be entertaining
