sorry I took so long to respond. No I don't use brine. just salt. when taking them out of the jar, you pour the water out of the jar, then add water to the potatoes to heat up unless adding to a soup or stew mixture. otherwise I mash them with lots of yummy butter lol

I started taking curcumin (turmeric) and it really has helped my aches and pains. The particular one I take is Curamed and I swear by it!! I wonder if it would help you or not.

I tend to be skeptical about thinking something that's not a drug could actually help. Before I started taking it I would always have a hip aching or my back hurting horribly. I started taking it regularly 4 months ago and haven't had one back or hip ache since. It either really works or it's a huge coincidence. I buy it on Vitacost and last time bought 2 so I wouldn't have to pay shipping. It's the cheapest I've found it.

It's not cheap but the way I told you is the cheapest. It's around 27$ at Vitacost and was 35$ at our local health food store. But lasts for 2 months.
