I get it too :( I am not very happy about it either. It really sucks to get excited about battling certain opponents only to find out that they were changed. Makes no sense to me. If I train and fight the same opponent, I should get the same rewards. For some of the events I was here, but battling and training were so confusing at first. I had only battle on Neo and that was a LOT easier. The battling here was very intimidating to me.

I don't really get too much into the math part of it because I'm lazy, but basically when looking at guides against certain opponents, they usually list the weapons that the opponents have and what types of icons they do. So if I'm struggling to beat a certain one, I'll look at that and then try to choose my weapons based on what kinds of icons they block.
So for example, if I notice a certain opponent has weapons that do a lot of dark damage, I would prioritize my Maniacal Essence in that set, because that weapon has high dark blocking, and then my secondary weapon would just be whatever else I have that does a decent amount of damage and healing.
If I go to fight a different opponent and notice they have weapons that do more water damage, I would probably try to swap out one of my main two weapons that I'm using for my Manifesting Weapon which is a high water blocker and then again my second weapon would just be whatever else I have that's a good general use weapon.
Currently, my sort of "default" set looks like this, it's the set that I use for BQs and most low difficulty opponents that I can wipe out in one or two hits anyway.
Maniacal Essence blocks dark icons and Cronus Blade blocks magma, which are both fairly common among a variety of opponents, so they make for pretty good weapons to have in a standard kind of set. And then like I mentioned, I'll make some adjustments for the Impossible level challengers that my pet actually struggles against depending on which weapons in my set I think will help me more.
Since I'm also kind of a casual battler, I'm limited by what I have earned or purchased already, so some opponents will be more difficult for me to beat than maybe someone else who has other weapons that I don't have yet. Which goes back to the getting weapons because they block certain types of icons thing.
Natasha is a fire blocker, OHS is an earth blocker, and the Ether blocks physical icons. I already have other weapons in my set that do a good job of blocking dark, magma, wind, water, and light. So if I get the 3 weapons from the MC that I don't have yet, that would cover pretty much all of the icon types. Ice block is something that's a bit more difficult to come by because the highest ice blocker is a limited godly weapon that I'll probably never own, but I have a couple of things in my set that block lower amounts of ice icons, so I have that covered too.
When you're dealing with the Impossible level challengers, those are the ones that give people the most trouble and where strategy is more important even if you have a Tier 12-13 pet. Because blocking the types of icons that the opponents do will give you a better chance of winning, a lot of battlers will suggest having a variety of weapons that cover all the bases in terms of icon types. So things like Natasha, OHS, and the Ether are all highly recommended weapons even though they can be expensive, because at least they are still less expensive than the other godly weapons and they are permanently available in the MC.
Of course there are other aspects to strategy than just blocking, like loading up your scroll set with freezing scrolls to try to chain freeze an opponent, or using the Recycle Blaster and Soma Tablets to try to break or steal some of your opponent's weapons so they can't be used against you, but yeah.

I am not sure how a top battler would feel about my set, but it works well enough for me. I like the helmet and mecha suit thing. Both of those can be created with items from the battle shop. Just let me know if you are interested in them and need any help getting the pieces. Yeah that is crazy insane rich!! Whose to say if they even play regularly anymore. Chances are they probably missed the box.
I don't usually need help getting stuff from the battle shop because I almost never buy anything from there. Which of those you listed seem to work best for you? A lot of my pets are T11-12 and need better weapons.

The only thing I buy from the battle shop are the speed leeches. I am clueless about weapons really, but I like all of them. I have my weapons set up to use the helmet and then the mecha. I think they work well together like that. Then I just use Cronus and Swashbuckler together unless I need to heal.
The helmet and the mecha are definitely worth having, especially since you can essentially get them for "free" if you have enough battle tokens. If you look up those items on Subetalodge, you can see the recipes to make them. They both take a lot of other genetech combos to make, but all of the parts can be found in the battle shop for various levels of tokens.
I have never bought or used any of the leeches because I don't understand what they're for, it doesn't make sense to me to decrease stats. Anyway, will look at the battle shop weapon parts. Thanks.

The speed leeches take off 2 points of speed for every leech. I am using them so I can decrease the speed stat and use those numbers for health/strength/defense. A lot of people use them to change their numbers around.
I had to follow the guide closely to make them. I didn't want to make any mistakes. Very easy for me to do! I did have fun making them. I wish they would have more weapons like that.
Yeah it's always pretty fun to have some decent weapons that you can earn yourself. I felt accomplished when I managed to make them for myself too a while back (and then made extra copies for my wardrobe).
I made an extra copy of both for a friend. I had to do some battles, but it was worth it,
