I finally found time to decorate my tree and hopefully I'll have enough time to get gifts for everyone's trees on the weekend "^^

Happy Sinterklaas eve or Pakjes avond!

I hate making poems for Sinterklaas. Glad I do Christmas presents :p

work in kruidvat, so very busy. This morning we had a sick person. So i was only with one other girl

Huh... Is that poem making something that's common in the Netherlands then? Because this is the first I ever hear of it (German here....) Anyway I'm glad I don't have to, because I'm horrible at poems. I always hated them - whether I had them in my German or English textbooks "^^

I've been working in a open-air museum since September but we're closed for the winter so all I've been doing is trying to find my way around the museum's library system and the old index cards - very exciting, I know 😆

And I believe I got everyone a little something under their Lumi tree now (I think I got everyone) :)

For the non-believers in Sinterklaas who do "surprise" , That something like secret Santa. You got a name from somebody and you have to buy a present, but you also make a "surprise" and put the gift in the surprise and you make a poem about the person who gets it or about the gift. For the people who hate it (in school your poem must be at leats 5 lines long) you always start with: The Sint was thinking about what he would give you (in Dutch it rhymes) So you have at least one line already :P

And how cool, working in an open air museum, Where if I may ask? I've been to Roscheider Hof near Trier a couple of years ago

I did my first round of tree gifting (sorry, not one much for posting on everyone's profile) might do a second round and at least check if I got everybody ^_^
