Drew this yesterday because.I had an old canvas panel to use it. I also wanted to draw something winter. Most of my stuff lately has been traditional just because I've been working more on getting my traditional art better so less digital. Ended up giving it to my mother as her Christmas present for this year.
Materials used: Memory Comic Pen Dip Pen set + Windsor and Newton Black India ink, from their drawing inks set. Mugyo Soft Oil Pastels( 48 color Gallery set) 4x6 Canvas Board

Originally started yesterday late at night to draw some concepts for my Magnus pet. But while I can't draw Magnus nor Swampie pets ( ;O; ) and not satisfied with my skills, I changed to draw some practice and warm-up for later. I can't draw animals or fantasy creatures, I'm only skilled with humanoid stuff. °O°

I've been doing some croquis in january, but lately the most I've managed digitally has been ... trying to learn mark tuan's face shape lol. I actually do want to finish some of these though, I haven't had time to draw much lately at all.

I just want to say that I think I've finally learned to stop letting my skill level or interest in 'completing' a piece hold me back and it's genuinely helped me improve so much in the last year.
I used to scrap so many non-perfect pieces of art, or not even attempt them because I thought my skill level wasn't there.
I cannot tell you how many times I never made a character I had an idea for, or never tried an art piece because "I don't know how to do that". And I've just gotten to this point where I've kind of learned... who gives a shit? So what if it's not perfect. At least you drew it. At least you got the idea out instead of wasted it. Putting it down gives you the chance to learn not just now, but also later.
And don't even get me started on the amount of shitty advice I've gotten when I was younger about how 'real artists don't NEED references.'. What a bad take. Look at literally everything. Even if you're just looking at fun stuff. Just absorb all the great things. seriously.
