That is to funny the deer throwing the flowers on the lawn they did want planted any more hahahaha They are beautiful to see but didn't get to see them, they do it sometime when it's dark. But we have seen deer here during the day.hubby works in our side room & called me in the one day there was a big mama deer & a young deer stood as high as a med. size dog so adorable.Hugss :D

we rarely saw them during the day when we were in our house. When I would get up in the middle of the night I did and once in a while when they were eating the rose hips. They stood right there and weren't a bit skittish. When they are in our back garden here we actually have to go out and shew them away and then they just amble slowly, looking back like their thinking, "I'll be back." The year before we moved here one had her baby right in the back yard. in the shade of some big bushes close to the building. They said she stayed there all day and left some time in the night. Then she and her fawn came back once in a while to eat petunias. Bruce and I only had petunias in high hanging pots after the first year because they love them.
That is so cool that the mother deer had a baby on your property.I can't believe when you went to shew them from your garden they slowly walked away. They must not be afraid of people where you live. as soon as they see people they run.but sometimes they while stay there a few minutes if you don't move so you can look at them.Do you think If I plant my purple tulips in high hanging pots they won't eat them hahaha 😉 But that was a very good Idea to hang your flowers up high in pots.Hugss :D

I've heard that purple tulips are afraid of heights so you might give that a thought before you try hanging them up. 😆 Our iris are up now and they are at the back of the garden, no fence, just a path between them and the woods. We will see how they like those. They are in planters just a comfortable height for the deer. Last year there was some plants they just loved in there. I'm sure they think we just lwant to feed them. (hugs)
I'm so envious of you two talking about deer! What a lovely experience to see them at night - maybe not so much with the pulling up of the flowers! Very interesting to read about them preferring a particular colour tulip and their likes and dislikes.
I want to thank and who were kind enough to keep sending me dances, even though I wasn't going to be on here much. Thanks to your efforts, I did get the border I was missing. I've put it on, but I'm not sure if it will show up here. Thank you!! (((Hugs)))) and xxxx
You're a lovely dancer and I'm so glad you got the border too. (hugs)
I think I figured the deer thing out =) We leave a pencil & paper outside so they can write down what they are planning on eating next year plant those on one side & the flowers we like on the other side so hopefully they will leave our flowers alone Hahaha 😉 what they would probably do is eat our flowers first then theirs second you know deer you can't trust them hahahaha Hugss :D

it's a good plan. Let us know just how that worked out. (laughing) (laughing)
The deer looking at me
,because we all know their going to eat what they want hahahaha
their not nice at all hahaha 😉 Hugss :D

Oh, thats so cute!!! My sister Silvermare has photos on facebook of deer walking through her farm all the time. Those guys look like they are right behind our flower gardens. :)
They are so pretty, but like you said they are stinkers Hugss :D

Yes, beautiful little stinkers. We can forgive them for anything just to see them around. :)
We have lots of deer in our area; they often walk through our yard, night and day. They are beautiful, but goodness they can be trouble! My husband hit (well, really was hit by) two over the space of six months in two different automobiles! The headlight and headlight holder was busted out in the truck; the car has a huge, deep dent in the roof. We were so thankful that neither time was serious. The deer walked away both times, too.
Good Morning!
I am so sorry to hear about your sister's dog. They are our family and it hurts when we lose them.
I am glad that everyone had a great masquerade and now I can let my feet rest. Nice to see a lot of activity here.
Hello 🐱 🐶
[flower=shirastardust]
that's terrible. Your husband could have been badly injured as well. At dusk it is bad on the highway for animals. It's usually elk. When people living here are going to and coming from work at the mines there are some accidents. In fact the town where the mine is located is called Elkford. There are herds of them.
Hi there all! Did you get enough trinkets this year? I've got several bags in my vault, so when I start feeding Vlad T, the Lounge food, I should have a good start!
Wow -- there must be a lot around! I've never seen an elk in person, but I'm thinking they are bigger than deer. That would be scary!
So sorry! They are family and it's so hard!
