a game that I usually play in was off that week - so I played a different game and it was hard to stay focused - I didn't accomplish everything I wanted to, including not baking the banana bread I wanted to bake, and not finishing the draft of the story I wanted to finish the draft of - my new glasses weren't ready yet so I couldn't see well all weekend - I think that's all...

I just looked and it's 108 - on the news they called it historic. It's kicking my ass today as I had to run some errands and go grocery shopping. Lucky we have central air at home. And my poor doggies are not liking it very much either.

it wasn't that bad, just, a lot of little things built up. today I got my new glasses and they're mostly great. BUT. I misplaced them for a few minutes and totally lost my shit and was unable to deal (scream sobbing) and then haven't got much work done all day. sigh

Thank you!! <3 Small rant warning: I've had those days quite a bit lately. I've never admitted my exact age here before but I'm about to turn 65 and friggin Medicare and all of the BS that goes with it, sucks! Plus, the eye glass doctor made a mistake on one of my lenses, instead of -75, they put +75 and I couldn't see and driving was really scary! It was a pain getting it all straightened out but it's finally fixed now. I'm really ok and my life is in a good place but damn all of the little irritating things can sure add up!! :-) Then add in the historic 106 degree weather... :-P :-D

So I had new lenses put in the old pair too. And of course it was the wrong prescription too. lol Not to mention the eye dr made me do 2 exams and I had to pay for the second exam after I bought their eye drops and eye heating pads and used for 2 weeks. He was afraid my dry eye was an issue - he was the issue and we won't be returning. :-D It's over and I've moved on! Other than being cranky yesterday, (from the extreme heat) I have no complaints!! :-) I don't usually like to be negative here but it did feel good getting everything out! <3
