... today was such a wonderful day ... i got my 2nd vaccination, was able to start a new therapy whereby the health insurance pays the costs (144,000 € ...) and after 40 years i was able to hug my child again. ..

that's all really a lot and i will probably stay calm for the next few days ... the therapy costs a lot of strength, but in 8 weeks, god willing, i will have many beautiful years ahead of me ...

you shouldn't always listen to the first doctor, because mine made me believe that my days are numbered ... the last 2 weeks have been very bad and I don't wish anyone to have to go through such a time alone ... stupid doctor ...

wow 40 years you haven't seen your child? it is awesome you found each other somehow. i am glad for you about the sexond opinion with better news for you. What is the therapy for..did you hurt yourself awhile ago. Anyways i am so happy that your insurance will cover you(((((hug))))) ..haha kermit..it's not easy being green..remember had that tiny little green chick on her profile the whole time you were recovering from your head injury!!!?? :)

:3 I love it. It's actually been a while since I've seen it, so I went and watched a clip of Darkseid just now. Yeah, I really need to see it again.
I love DC comics and it's many characters. I know each of their movies has gotten flack for something or another not lining up perfectly with the comics/ not being as good as Marvel's. But I like to look at it like... there's Many different universes/ dimensions in the DC universe. Each set of movies is just that, another dimension. It doesn't Have to line up perfectly because it makes sense for that version. That said, I Really love those versions of Justice League, and the art style/ animation/ what-have-you of them. :)

..talk of green made me think of quote from a ninja turles show where one is trying to figure out which wire to cut on a bomb, and another says "Go for the green!" ^_^ lol

basically my son went in for a simple outpatient surgery for a deviated septum. The surgeon was given the wrong drug (full epinephrine instead of a diluted epinephrine and lidocaine). This put him in to a heart rate of 150 and basically he went into cardiac arrest. They had to perform CPR and finally shock him to get him back. He was gone for just under 4 minutes. He was rushed to a nearby hospital which put his body on ice to preserve his brain and they kept him in an induced coma for 2 days. During that time he was supposed to have his body temperature at 93 degrees or lower for 24 hrs. He got to 89 but then his heart rate would drop to 20 and then back up to 70 so they had to start warming him before him before they wanted to. I was absolutely devastated and am just so thankful when they brought him out of the coma he knew everyone. He seems to have no major deficits. The only thing he had when he left the hospital is that his heart was only at 70% but should correct itself over the next several weeks. At the follow up with his primary is when she sent him to have an ultrasound as she suspected a blood clot. The ultrasound showed 2. So now he will have to be on blood thinners for at least 3 months. I am hoping this is the end of any issues due to this mix up at the surgery center. We have sought out a malpractice attorney, whatever they are doing needs to be changed procedure wise. I was told 3 different stories as to what and how it happened. No other human being should have to go through what we went through and we are very lucky he came out of it as well as he did. It was a true miracle!

my very first thought was malpractice. I would be interested if the OR was behind schedule...did they make you wait a bit from scheduled time??if so..that and the idea it was a routine op..(to me means easy peasy in n out thoughts for surgeon and team. The six check of medicines before giving it was a HUGE balldrop!!!! i am so very happy for your outcomings thus far but YES..you totally should sue for malpractice my friend!! again thank God he came out with faculties intact,,,a mracle for sure!!

So frustrating when a pet is in the queue for such a long time.

from what I have been told (3 different versions), there was another patient that had a serious nose bleed this team was dealing with. I couldn't help but wonder if this was a case of let's get back on our surgery schedule as we have fallen behind due to the serious nose bleed they had difficulty stopping. My son should be speaking with the attorney today and making a final decision by Monday on how to proceed. I am pretty sure he is going to go for a lawsuit now that the whole blood clot thing has occurred. Who knows what else may result from this in the future! Whatever they did to cause the surgeon to give him the wrong drug needs to be seriously investigated and things changed so this doesn't happen to anyone else ever!
