Just so you guys are aware, staff is not ignoring this issue! It is being discussed :)

As a Chinese American myself, I deeply understand the toll of what our community has gone through, not just last month but throughout US history. These items were meant to be changed immediately, and the process for doing so was started, but the content team had a lot on their plate and apologizes for the delay.

I've just renamed the items and tweaked some descriptions. These items were all from the Brass Costume Trunk, which mentions a legend in its description, so I renamed the items to "Elegant (item) of Legend" and "Imperial (item) of Legend". See changed items here.

I also tweaked any item descriptions that needed an update, including the cherry blossom. Finally, I did a search and removed the word "oriental" from any other item descriptions that had it.

This should take care of official items. I'm currently discussing with how we'd like to handle CWs with the same issues. Those will be taken care of.

Hi everyone! Apologies for the delay.

I'm going through the custom items right now to rename ones that have "Oriental" in the name. In the interest of simplicity, all instances of "Oriental" are being changed to "Imperial". Unfortunately some of these CWs are very old and done by users no longer on site, and it's impractical for us to reach out to each submitter individually to ask for a change. That being said, - if one of your items has been changed and you have a different name you'd like to see, you can submit a ticket and we'll change it (as long as it's site appropriate!).
