Hmm yea I don't have a favorite dish (foreign and local lol) so I'm going to say, my favorite cake is ice cream cake :drool: sadly we don't have them for sale around here but in the previous place I live in whenever someone has a birthday we'd buy ice cream cake :D Yes it's very tasty and I love ice cream <3

I would say one of my favorite foods is gumbo. I wasn't sure where it hailed from so google told me this! My favorite gumbo is with lots of different sea food and okra and tomatoes but I like it with chicken and sausage too.

The name "gumbo" is similar to a West African word for "okra," which suggests that the original dish used okra as a natural thickener. The spice choices are Cajun inspired, and the dish's base is a roux, the French technique of frying flour and fat as a thickener. So maybe it was from Africa at first but it really got popular in New Orleans

My favorite dish is Tater Tot Hotdish! It comes from the upper midwest US, particularly Minnesota, where I'm from, so I've grown up eating it. I love it because it's comfort food! There are tons of variations but the main ingredients are ground beef and veggies mixed with cream of mushroom soup, all topped with tater tots and baked! It's not healthy but hotdishes are great for feeding a crowd. :) I've been vegetarian for many years now but still occasionally make a tater tot hotdish using plant-based "beef".

For me, it's a toughie to decide as I come from an Italian/German heritage. If I had to choose one, it would be sauerbraten, which, for you non-German peeps, is like a beef stew. My aunt makes it for Oktoberfest in large quantities (we're a large family :) ), and to make it taste "sour", she uses ginger snaps....mmm....ginger snaps drools

my favorite dish is Shui Zhu Yu. i think on English menus, it's called "Fish with Chili Oil". it's a dish from China. i usually get the fish fillet over the whole fish. i love biting into the soft fish and getting that mala (numbing, spicy) flavor. it's so good with rice on a cold day. :)

My favourite dish is chicken pot pie. I'm having it for dinner tonight! It's homemade! :D

I suppose I'd have to say my favorite 'treat' is a nice prime rib. It used to be pizza...

Congrats on 15 years! My favorite dish is bibimbap, from Korea. It's a healthy dish of veggies, rice, and meat, but it really feels like indulgent comfort food. Egg yolk acts as a delicious "sauce" for the dish.
