Winter here in Ohio has been bad this year, with all the snow. There is ice on top of the snow. I went out to my garage today to get some water and I crunched the whole way down my path (which is snow covered). Luckily, I was wearing my boots with ice grippers on them. I haven't seen any young children asking anyone if they can shovel their paths. I really need someone to help me do that.

I am myself again today. Really feels good! I got the maderma shot.. My daughter and her husband got the Pfizer vaccine. They haven't received their second shot yet. Hope it doesn't give them any bad side effects. There weren't many in our building that got more than a sore arm and tiredness. I was just one of the lucky weaklings. 😄 Thank you for the nice comment on my town. It is a nice place to live. My hubby and I moved a lot but once we moved here we couldn't think of any place we'd rather me. So have been here 42 years. Have seen a lot of changes in it's growth but it's kept it's home town charm.

, I'm with Shirley. Your situation sounds so dangerous! You'd think the council (or whatever body you pay your rates to) would employ people to remove snow to prevent safety hazards. I hope your situation is sorted before you have any more snowfalls.

& Unfortunately, homeowners have to shovel snow from their sidewalks, paths and driveways. The city only shovels the snow on the road. Sometimes, one of my neighbors on each side of me will shovel the snow on the sidewalk. Since this time there was ice and they couldn't use a snow blower, they only shoveled the sidewalk by their house. This winter has been alot harsher than previous ones and this is the first year we had so much snow fall that it hasn't melted yet and just when you start to clear all your snow, you get another snow storm. Next week we are suppose to have a couple of days in the high 30's and low 40's, so hopefully the snow will melt away.

the same situation happened in the city where we went for Christmas. When a place rarely gets that kind of weather they just aren't prepared to deal with it. Stay in as much as you can and I pray the warmer weather will come sooner than expected. (hugs) ❤

, I had to go out today to run some errands. I wear my boots with my ice grippers on them out to my garage. I have a pair of sneakers that I put on to drive. I can't drive with the bulky boots. There are gigantic piles of snow at all the little plazas and alot of snow that hasn't been removed by snow plows. A friend from where I worked texted me today and he is going to see if his nephew is willing to shovel my paths and driveway.

I'm glad you managed to safely get out and are safe at home now. I really hope the nephew will help you out!

This has been the mildest winter we've had since we moved here 41 years ago. The ski hill still got enough snow to have a successful season though, even with all the restrictions.

I forgot to answer your question on the boots and grippers. They are separate items. I ordered the grippers off the internet years ago. I had to measure my boots so I would get the right size. I also have one for my sneakers, although, I can't find them.
