It sounds like this issue is because an item got added to your wardrobe multiple times, resulting in you having multiple copies in there. They are not actually separate copies, but most likely resulted from accidental double-clicking when adding a single copy in there. When you Account Search the item, you may see 2 copies (or more) in your wardrobe.
To fix the issue for your item, you can remove the item from account search and add it back into your wardrobe. Please go ahead and do this for any of your items affected by this glitch.
I am looking into a way to prevent this from happening in the first place, but it is looking somewhat tricky so the proper fix may take some time.
