Hello !

As some of you know, I’m back and hard at work with custom wearables :) I’m so very excited to be back, and there are a LOT of good things happening! I wanted to give you all a brief rundown so you know what to expect here in the future!

 • New lower prices! CWs are getting a price cut across the board. Some categories are getting combined for ease of submission (think jewelry, hair accessories, that type of thing) and will have an average new lower price between them.
 • A brand new, easy to follow submissions page! It will walk you through each submission with pictures and clicking, versus confusing drop downs. This process will also pick the layers for you, so no more worries about submitting things on the wrong layer!
 • An official CW directory! It will have the ability to search by submitter or artist, and be a great one-stop-spot to see what CWs are on site.
 • A new CW ‘area’ for submitters where you’ll be able to look at pending items as well as manage your CW shop, prices, number of items, etc.
 • A brand new, up-to-date, easily to follow list of CW rules and submission guidelines!

The CW Council, Bug, Keith, and I are all very hard at work behind the scenes, and I think you all will be excited by the changes to come! Over the next several weeks, you may see some of the stickies in the forums disappearing or getting edited while we change some things around and write up new, current information, so don’t be alarmed when you see things shifting.

There are a few things I did want touch base on!

 • There may be several days in a row where you don’t get specific updates. This is because I may not have much to say other than “We are working on it!” At this point we are working on various aspects at a near-daily basis, so know even without a spoken update, work is happening!
 • We are not ready to go into a lot of very specific detail yet because we want to ensure things are not going to change significantly after we announce them. We want everything tested and perfected prior to rolling it out! If you have a basic question, however, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer it!
 • Finally, I know a big concern has been regarding the prices of existing CWs in a new system. The answer to that is no -- CWs will not be locked into their current prices after the price change goes live. However, please note we will not be issuing any refunds on CWs submitted between now and the price changes.

Thank you all for your continued encouragement and support. I can’t wait for you to see what we have in store!

(do you want me to ping you guys when I update this thread with big news? If you think you're getting too many pings, let me know, but I thought you might like it!)

One change that has already been implemented over the past few weeks is doing the CW queue on a set schedule. I think this is helpful for -everyone- -- it helps prevent staff burnout and helps you guys know when you can expect to see an acceptance or denial!

Right now the queue days are Wednesday and Sunday. This doesn't mean things will absolutely never be looked at in between - sometimes when I have free time, I love to look through the queue and get items out! But it does mean you can go "Oh it's Tuesday, I better accept this today if I want feedback tomorrow!"

There isn't a specific TIME the queue gets done on those days, since it completely depends on what else is going on that day! So if you submit an item Sunday morning, it doesn't mean it will be looked at Sunday night; the queue may have been done at 7 AM that day. Also these dates may change due to outside circumstances - vacations (...haha not likely right now but), work things, emergencies, etc, but I'll always do my best to communicate with you all if there is a change!

And of course, when we approach the busy holiday season, I'll be doing more -- and I'll be sure to announce deadlines for you guys like I have in the past! (Ie: if you want this to be looked at by Lumineve get it submitted by a certain date).

I'm really excited about having things on a schedule, and I'm kind of wondering why I never did this before, so that is 100% on me. But I think it's a change you all will like!

Just a little teaser update for you guys today, but I sort of let it slip doing the queue today so I thought I'd let you all know!

With the update to the CW system, you will be allowed to submit facial feature replacing 'makeup'! Like eyes, and lips, and noses!

(No, you cannot start submitting them early now. You need to wait until the update! But you can certainly start creating them now in anticipation!)

I... honestly haven't thought of this! I'll discuss with the CW Council and by the time it's live, we'll have an answer :)

Yes! Things that cover the head will be allowed now as well, but please note they'll be considered base edits and not makeup (this will be clearly indicated in the new system!)

Hello! My apologies for the lack of updates lately. As some of you know, one of my cats was supposed to have a minor surgical procedure last week that turned into a major surgical procedure and a lot of worrying. He is doing great now, recovering well and being such a champ!

First, how are you all liking the scheduled queue days? I love it! It's helping me stay organized and stress-free, and it keeps the queue really manageable. I hope you're all liking the change as much as I am!

Second, I don't have any screenshots to tease you guys with, but I wanted to let you know about some of the great things that are happening!

 • has done so much programming work for this already. He is making me a great new admin panel so I'll be able to correct a lot of things from the back end, which is fabulous and will make for less denials for small things like the wrong layer.
 • ...but picking the wrong layer will be a lot harder, because for 75% of items, the system will DO IT FOR YOU! There are a few where it basically will say "If your item does not fit any of these, pick the layer it belongs on", but for a lot of them, it does it for you! Hooray!
 • I've seen some of the work being done on the new CW directory with my own two eyes and it is beautiful! I just know you're going to love it
 • The CW Council has done a great job with putting out ideas for the CW directory as well as the FAQ and rule rewrite, which is one of the things I'm working on today!

Overall, I just want to reassure you guys that there is SO MUCH going on behind the scenes right now! We are making a lot of really great progress, and I hope I have more to keep sharing with everyone soon! xoxo

HI THIS IS THE LAMEST UPDATE EVER I just wanted to say hi and reassure you all that THINGS ARE HAPPENING and I WISH I could show you things happening because they are SO GREAT and I'm SO excited. I know this isn't much to go off of, but I promised you guys I wouldn't keep you in the dark! Things are going REALLY well and I may have some in progress teaser screenshots soon!

Also thank you for all the kind wishes for my kitty! Oh Henry is doing great, he got his sutures out and he's healing well. He's a champ!

Hello everyone! I know it's been a while since I gave you a nice, detailed update - and I know some of us can really use the distraction! So I'm here with a few updates on how things are going, as well as an announcement.

and I have been doing a LOT of work on things. The main thing I'm working on lately is making sure things are all set up for our new submissions system. It is going to be a really easy to follow point-and-click system, and my hope is it will be a nice, easy change for veteran CW submitters as well as easy and inviting for people that are new to the system!

•Bug has also been doing a lot of work on the CW directory (take my word for it, it is nice) and working on how shops will go. There is, of course, a LOT of coding involved in all of this, and Bug is doing a simply amazing job. Things are moving along well!

•That being said - I know you guys are anxious for an ETA, and trust me, I am also anxious to give you one! Unfortunately at this time, we still don't have one, and I really, really, really don't want to disappoint anyone with a date we can't make (or add extra stress to Bug and I)! I want this to be beautiful for you all when it is released, I want it to be something we can all be proud of. And I promise I'll continue to keep you updated and once I know it's safe for me to give you a date, I WILL do so. I promise ;heart: Thank you all for your continued trust in me - it means the absolute world to me!

And finally, I promised an announcement on one of the changes we'll be seeing! It is a pretty big one that I hope you'll all be happy with:

SLOTTING IS GOING AWAY!!

That's right - with the new system, there will be no batches or slots. No more slotting. No more trying to fill 5-10 slots to get your item out. No more having to give up and send it direct-to-shop and pay an extra amount to do so. That means if you want to make just ONE item for yourself - you can, and all it will cost you is the base cost for that particular type of item!

There will be some things that go along with this. For example, if you say "There will only be 20 items", you can still only release 20 - the rules about sticking to stated batch numbers will still apply, but it will just be based off of total items. This will be visible in your shop - so while there are no more slots, copies sold will be transparently indicated like "1 copy sold", "20 copies sold", etc. You will be able to lock items in your CW shop to a max number and still retire them when they're done. But if you want to make an item that you just pick up a copy of here and there for a giveaway or for presents - you can do so!

I know I'm excited about this change, and I think it's going to make CWs a lot more accessible for a lot of people! Please feel free to share your thoughts!

Things can absolutely still be unlimited! You'll be able to put all of that info in your shop once the item is submitted :)

Nothing with the forums will change - they'll DEFINITELY still be here! And you are still more than welcome to make slots and offer items on the forums! I forgot to mention that you WILL still be able to set passwords for items and the like, so you'll be able to carry on as usual in that manner :) It is just taking out what we've seen as a major roadblock for especially newer CW submitters. But you can definitely carry on as always.

See my reply above - you'll definitely still be able to interact with the community and the forums and the like. In fact, I don't foresee a lot of things changing in that regard! You can still take interest/essentially do unofficial slotting, set passwords for items to keep who buys them under control, etc.

The slotting is just difficult, because it really discourages a lot of people from getting into CWs. There are already some really well-established CW submitters, so it can be intimidating in the first place, but if you don't know people or aren't sure how the system works, it can be difficult to fill slots - which is then discouraging and causes people to give up. This is really going to open up CWs to more people, which is exactly what we want!

As far as being able to see who bought your CWs, we did discuss this and the answer is no, this is not something we'll be implementing. A lot of the reasons are similar to what users said on that post, but we really, really believe it's going to create more issues than it would solve. Unfortunately, the nature of how CWs have been set up for the past several years have already caused quite a bit of drama (I think we can all agree on that!), and again, we want to keep things open and encouraging for all. There is always a possibility we will readdress this in the future to see if it's something we want to do, but we do not have plans for it now.

(Note that these ARE logged behind the scenes in our user logs, so if there was an issue with a shop or a sale, we CAN look that up - so it is definitely being logged somewhere!)

But I do have something I&;d like clarified though. I&;m guessing that with the new system we will have to buy an extra copy ourselves if we need to send out an artist&;s copy of an item?
Yes and no. We are implementing something that should make this easier and more affordable for submitters. Stay tuned :)

I can't quote a lot of things for direct answer due to mobile but a few points I did want to touch on: -The sense of community is not going away (see my previous replies to this). You can still run your forums as you always have. Nothing about the forums will change. You are still welcome to take slots yourself in the forums if that's what you want to do. -There will be some changes happening to the shops to definitely make them easier to manage. -I confirmed with Bug that they are logged. As far as I know, it isn't new. But I did double-check to be on the safe side. -if the invites don't work for things, please submit a proper bug report when it happens so it can be looked into! Right now we are not planning on any user-visible logs for CWs, including for invites. -As I stated, we do not have an ETA we are comfortable sharing yet. I can't confirm or deny if this will be ready by Black Friday.

See my replies above cause I think it will answer most of your questions!

I am going to request that arguments for and against logs be put on hold here (as in on this specific topic) for now at least. It's something we did discuss in detail and I do hear and appreciate both sides of the issue - but we are sticking with our decision for now.

Have you considered allowing custom items that don&;t have an overlay/aren&;t wearable?

This is something I brought up aaaaaages ago (like we're talking years). It's definitely something I'd be willing to bring up again, but it will definitely be a post-revamp thing. Right now we are absolutely maxed out on what we are able to do to get the new CW system going (we have a huge list going of things to continue adding in! But if we ever want to get the main thing released, we need to put additional ideas on that list)

I did want to say -- it is a little unfair to say "a few bad apples have ruined it for the rest of us". This is a feature that many users are split down the middle on. It is also something we discussed at length, reviewing both pros and cons, and this is the route we feel is in the best interest of the site and the system for now. No one 'ruined' it for anyone - it's just a decision that some people would be happy about and some wouldn't.

We won't be dropping anything without at least a few weeks' notice (especially because we'll have to take down the queue to shift everything over). When we are ready to give a more specific ETA, we will definitely do so.

Re: Shop searches and features - you guys have lots of great ideas here :) Some we will be looking at having in the revamp, and some will need to wait, but our goal is definitely to make it easier for EVERYONE - sellers and buyers alike - to use.

Just another quick update/spoiler, haha! I know some of you were curious about how you'll handle artist copies now that there's no slotting. We wanted to make this easy and also have some sort of price break to help out. So when you submit an item, you'll have the option to pay 1/2 price to have a second copy of the item sent directly to the artist! So for example, if you are submitting a wig for 350CSC (psst, this is the actual new wig cost!), you can instead pick to pay 525 CSC and essentially get two copies of the item - one sent to you, one sent to the artist.

And yes, this will work if you are both the submitter AND the artist. You'll get a second copy for half off, which you can of course do whatever you'd like with.

We've made it optional in case you really are making an item JUST for yourself and really don't need an extra copy, or if you have a different plan worked out with your artist, etc! It is one of my favorite little features we've added in.

Keep in mind that 350CSC is the base price! Users will still be able to mark them up as they see fit :) The idea is that it will (hopefully) lower prices across the board, but definitely something to remember!

All of the new pricing is finalized, so I'll continue to surprise you all with the new numbers here and there ;)
All of the new pricing is finalized, so I'll continue to surprise you all with the new numbers here and there
;) Be patient! More pricing will come out over the next few weeks.

Because all items will be essentially DTS, they'll all be 'unlimited' and you'll control the number of copies you want out at any given time. So you can say you want to sell 20 copies total and put them out in groups of 5 no problem. However - if you sell more than 20 after saying otherwise, this is still considered scamming.

Hello ! It's a Work Wednesday, and with the queue empty for now I thought I'd go through a few things!

• The CW Council has started testing some of our new things for the revamp! Things are coming along very nicely :)

• To sum up some of the questions I've answered:

 • CWs will automatically be 'unlimited' since they are all essentially DTS. However, you will be able to still set the max amount you want out at a time and retire them once you've reached the total number of copies you've promised
 • Pricing will work where your profit is anything above the base price. (so for a wig, anything above 350. For facial features, anything above 300. For a full background [which is the most expensive item we have now], anything above 400. Yes, these are actual prices!)
 • There is no longer any sort of 'fee' associated with releasing items however! You don't pay an extra price for DTS. You just pay the base price to get it on site, and then sell it from there. Hooray!

• Categories have been EXTREMELY simplified. For example, makeup (without facial features) + tattoos are now in the same category. There is no longer simple jewelry and complex jewelry - just jewelry. There is no longer a category for shirts, another for jackets, and another for dresses - just 'tops'. This means some things have had even more of a price cut than others (OR, in the case of simple jewelry, actually remain the same price at 200 CSC because they are just combined in another category). There are visual guides so you don't have to guess if something you made is a small or large accessory - the pictures will walk you through it!

• That being said - we will be moving all old CWs to the new pricing system, and they may not match up with new items being submitted. We had to really play with where they would go based off their previous categories, but there will be a lot more details about this when the new system releases! I'm going to do my best to walk you all through it and make sure we have a pretty seamless transition :)

• Also thank you to those who have expressed worry about me for when the new system releases, haha! Don't worry, I'm mentally preparing myself for it :) Again, as we get closer, I'll of course have more information.

Thank you again for all your continued support and love! It means a lot to me that you guys welcomed me back to staff with open arms and have put a lot of trust and faith in me. Trust me, I (and Bug and the CW council!) are working very hard for you!

I do have one question - will we be retaining the ability to lock items and send out invites for them? I ask because I&;ve been holding some items since the initial announcement went out and I want to make sure the people slotted on that will be able to get their copies without any kind of stress.

Yes! Locking items (or having them password protected) and sending out invites will still be around, and in fact it will be improved!

I can answer this, but in the future a question not related to the CW revamp word be better in a ticket or in the FAQ topic!

No, we don't recognize public vs private. Just batch numbers/total number of items stated.

Hello ! I know it was a bit sad to hear that CWs will not be included in Black Friday this year (what with... an entire relaunch coming and all, haha). I hope this gift I bring to you today makes up for it -- the price list, in its entirety!

Jewelry: 200 CSC Facial Hair: 200 CSC

This includes beards/mustaches/goatees/etc as well as just eyebrows Makeup, Scars, and Tattoos: 250 CSC This is for makeup that has no facial features associated with it Small Accessories: 250 CSC This category includes: hair accessories, neckties/bowties, belts, gloves, socks, and glasses Facial Features: 300 CSC Eyes, noses, mouths! Eyes will be allowed to have eyebrows if you want to include them. Tops: 300 CSC * This category includes: shirts, dresses, jackets, vests, sweaters, etc. Basically, all tops are now in one category Bottoms: 300 CSC* This category includes: pants, leggings, and shoes Medium and large accessories: 300 CSC This category includes: scarves, capes/pauldrons/cloaks, trains (not the choo choo kind), masks, and hats Held props: 300 CSC* Wigs: 350 CSC Partial backgrounds and foregrounds: 350 CSC Companions: 350 CSC Full-body outfits: 350 CSC Think things like: Kimonos, huge ass ballgowns, a full space suit Unique Limbs: 350 CSC This category includes: wings, animal ears or ear replacements, horns, arm replacements leg/lower half replacements, tails, and will also include new full face replacements (like if you want a skull for a head and clearly don't want it to look like a mask) Full backgrounds and foregrounds: 400 CSC

Items marked with an * will have an additional option to pick if your overlay move the limbs or not. If so, it will add 50 CSC to the price (rather than submitting it in unique limbs. This is to help keep things nice and organized in categories that make sense.

There are little images to help guide you through the process. On the main page, they contain multiple items so you can see which category something goes in, like so:

And then the images from there are much more simple.

So say you want to submit a sweater that has the arms repositioned to hold a cup of coffee. Here's the order it will go in!

 • You click the Tops (300CSC) category
 • From there, it will say "What kind of top?" and you would pick "shirt, tanktop, sweater, or dress". This will put it in the Chest layer (as opposed to the overchest layer for jackets or vests)
 • From there, it will say "Does your item reposition the arms?" and you would pick "Yes!". This will now add 50 CSC for moving the arms.
 • Upload your files and submit!

Whew! This is one of the biggest full updates yet! I'll eventually put together a post showing where current items will end up when they 'merge', so please keep those questions on hold for now -- you'll get a big update soon!

Those are the base prices. So it's the money that essentially goes to Subeta. Anything above that is profit for the seller (we don't control market prices!)

I can guarantee that that will absolutely never, ever happen. There is no way I (or anyone else) are going to manually go through the thousands of CWs on site to do this. So I'm just gonna stick a hard No in that right now, haha.

this is something we hope to have ready in the future but will not be available at launch. It is requiring some brand new coding, and we don't want to risk delaying things possibly for months just for this one feature. It is still definitely in the works!
