I like how "Bobidhdh the boblehad_357" implies that the pet was previously named "Bobidhdh the boblehad" but went inactive and had its name stolen xD

Anyway; the Name Exchange was made available again so that part of the FAQ can be updated :) I can't find the news post/update at the moment about the changes to the Name Exchange, but it is also explained on the Name Exchange page:

I've just adopted Freya, born 2016, from the pound, assuming the name would be legacy. Unfortunately she doesn't show the legacy name statement on her profile, though. So probably it was wiped in the bathhouse. If it was her legacy name, will it still count as that, even when not showing the info?

Searching for Freya turns out 3 pets with the name, yet none of them is mine. I'm confused.

No it won't. Once its erased, its completely gone. Also there is no way to know what the pet's legacy name was...might have been "Bob" or "Jane759" - might never have been Freya.

As per the section: Is it possible to remove the legacy name section?

because the "Subeta Search" is broken. It once worked fine, but it used too many resources, caused lag, etc. So they fixed it, and it didn't work at all. Then they removed it and people complained. So they fixed it again, and it somewhat works now, but does not work well. Many, many pets and users simply don't show up and you get "no search results" other times, you get several options, but none of them are what you are looking for.

I've noticed that when trying to link to pets with Legacy Names, the option to simply do subeta.net/pets/name leads to a singular profile. Seems like a issue, I noticed because I had to redo all the links for my Legacy pets on my profile because they all led back to one specific pet.

Hey, I apologize if this is already answered. I just logged in after a couple years of inactivity to find Two of my pets names were taken due to inactivity. They gave me a free name change for both of them.. but I am upset and hurt because they are names I gave my pets.. and they are memories for me being here 15 years on subeta. Can someone please explain why they would allow my original pet names to be taken?

For reference the names were "Carnie" and "seductive" which now have under dashes and numbers. Any help and answers are appreciated.. I want my names back.

I am at a loss, sine on the Black Friday news it said "..., pet name changes,... are not included in the sale." I wasn't aware, they still existed other than the cleansing pool thing.

So is it still possible to swap 2 Legacy Names?
