Two of my pets are named after two of my cats I lost this year. I didn't want my last name tied into them, so I am glad they can have their names but I can still have a little anonymity.

I fixed a couple of others, but those two were most important to me

I’m SO stoked about this change! I’m in the process of updating my fanpets’ names first, haha. So far, I’ve done:

Madokami -> Madoka Rosso -> Kyouko Heroics -> Sayaka Justitiam -> Mami Okashi -> Nagisa Unkind -> Alina Flutist -> Tsukasa

I don’t have to feel bad about hoarding names anymore, either! And I can make pets with any name I want! This is the best day ever, oh man.

I know for sure I want to get Puzzle, Parfait, Bun/Bunny/Rabbit, something related to the Moon, and so many others. I'm just so happy to finally get these names!

I haven't indulged in changing any names yet, but that's mostly because I already liked my pet names so there isn't really anything to change.

I'll probably eventually make some new pets with names like Luna and Rain, though.

Only two for me so far, but I'm sure there will be more! I'm also brainstorming a list of potential names and thinking about new characters for the first time in ages.

Moll -> Wren - I was going to go for Molly which I've looked at wistfully once in a while, but the rest of the pets in this story have rw names and I decided Wren would be a better fit. Might flip-flop on that later. Zilch -> Zero - Wanted a name beginning with Z, but didn't really feel inspired by Zilch. Kept hanging on to it Just In Case. I like Zero much better and the character might now develop beyond one or two vague lines in my notebook!

Hope of Spring -> Avonlea Castiglione -> Pulcinella

The only two pets for whom I really wanted a specific name, everyone else has names I like. But maybe I'll rename some of them if I come up with a brilliant idea for a name I like even better. ;-) And of course this will make naming future pets so much easier.

I don't think I will rename much of my pets. Probably 2 or 3 but I am not settled on it at the moment. The rest will keep their names cause it would feel wrong to rename them now after they have their names for so long now (also I like their names) and to be honest some alternate names I hade to take cause others were taken now feel a lot more fitting.

The only one I wanna rename for sure is Zenturio.

I do want to change Conchita too since I’m not super inspired by her name anymore and kept her for the ID, not sure to what yet.

I might change Melonie (--> Melanie), Workaholic (--> Jared), Challenge (--> Naran) but I'm going to sit on the decision for a bit. Mel because the spelling with the 'o' just never really grew on me. Jared because that's his real name and I enjoy the idea of his legacy name being one of his characteristics haha. Kind of the same thought with Challenge. I think that'd be cool displaying on their profiles, but I'm in no particular rush.

If this update had happened a few years back I'd have also been thrilled to change Nyrene to Naomi, but over the years I think her character's changed enough that Nyrene has kind of grown to fit her more.

I wasn't unhappy with most of my names per say, but I'm so glad I can get the spelling and names that I want!

I've happily just renamed my pet Basilby to Basil! That was the only one I have always felt was a huge compromise. But then I changed Parsnips to Parsnip because I CAN.

I'm sure I'll go nuts later but that was the one I was excited about! Suddenly want all the herbs as names.

Sakuya Kira -> Kira (No longer a fan pet name.) Sir Rodney -> Rodney (omg! While it was his nickname I really wanted just his name.) Daniel Jackson -> Daniel (No longer a fan pet name.) Eiri Yuki -> Yuki (No longer a fan pet name.) Malcolm Frink -> Malcolm (I just wanted his first name. He's still going to be a fan pet.) Caoime -> Iona (I wasn't going to keep this pet. Was going to be a zap and release until I saw it was hit by the gender glitch.) Lilliann -> Lily (She was from the AC. Closest to Lily I could get that still looked nice to me.) Hunter S. Tomcat -> Hunter (A friend gave him to me. They named him after their cat.)

I'll be changing more. I love being able to change on a whim if nothing is working with a name.

I'm really happy this is something we can do now. I like most of my pet names. So far I've changed the spelling on two. There are a couple of my pets I found in the adoption center that I may change. But I have to think about what names will suit them.

I haven't changed any yet because I've gotten kinda attached to my alternate spellings (Floon instead of Drifloon, DeeJay instead of DJ), and all my other names are fine as-is.

The only one I'm debating is changing BenPoe to Sacrament, which was his name originally before I gave it away -X-; (I cleared his profile then decided to put it back up.) I want to be sure I want to change it though, since I'll be stuck with it for a month!
