"America is a third world country in a Gucci belt." - @ jasminetyon, Twitter, Mar 22, 2020
While I don't really like the term "third world country", this hits the nail on the head, oof.
As far as new skills, I've been trying to figure out how to teach over Zoom, and that has not been easy!

I learned something and that is China's government should be punished

I learned to teach over virtual platforrms and make sure students were considering wellness.

Okay so I was only in quarantine for like two weeks or something, and alone only one day/night (why doesn't the English language have a word for day+night?) (bc the four people I lived with went to be in another house for a while) and then I got a job BUT I did learn who Trevor Noah is because that one day+night I was alone I watched his tonight show aired from the sofa or whatever it's called lol.

I've learned several things in lockdown, some cool, some disappointing.
Cool things I learned in lockdown: LEGO streamers on Twitch are a thing. Sea shanties and bard-core are awesome. Miracles happen all the time, you just need to be looking for them. And I will never ever find the Hamilton musical boring.
Disappointing things learned in lockdown: People complain too much; say what you will about previous generations' racism and sexism and whatnot, at least they knew how to not complain about little things! And don't even get me started on the anti-vaxxers. And the insurrectionists at the US Capitol in January.
A learning experience is one of those things that say, "You know that thing you just did? Don't do that." - Douglas Adams My wishlist.
Some coding! Also continued my drawing/painting practice but coding feels more "new".

I went dormant during quarantine and came back several months later and we were still in quarantine
A lot of self-discovery stuff went down during quarantine, both collectively and individually. A lot of us started acting like individuals/accepting it's okay to be individuals.
We also learned coding and as far as I know that's the only skill we learned during quarantine.
My husband and I are both textbook, classic introverts. We were born ready lmao
No, but really we've learned to be patient with each other, so we don't rip out each others eyeballs. I love him, but yeah. I've been trying to get back into old habits with things that I enjoy doing, such as cooking or baking. I invested in a Kitchen Aid mixer and have been using that a lot. I've also been gaming a lot more, which is really nice. I work from home now, so that gives me the flexibility to do so.

That people shouldn't be trusted with their pets why because they don't watch them or just couldn't care if they let them go loose or on a rampage -_-

Since I don't work yet (thanks to me having paranoid schizophrenia), I have too so much free time. I spent my day mostly playing black desert online and now playing subeta but I try to draw whenever I feel inspired to do so. I'm also thinking about teaching myself a new language but not sure yet what. I also want to try doing more graphic design but my motivation hasn't been that high.
I'm undergoing therapy thankfully so I'm visiting my therapist once a week and I take meds daily, but my mental health has still been going up and down. I try to take a walk daily since getting some fresh air helps as well.

I learned how to work with resin :) and that led to me buying a cricut...
I graduated with my masters degree, super weird in the middle of a pandemic. Then while unemployed in a pandemic I decided it was time to dive into astrology, so... It's been an interesting year.

In terms of skills, not really. I did make a big realization about my relationship which culminated in me finally ending it last week. Not nearly as impressive as some of the other accomplishments I've read in this thread, but so necessary for my healing and growth.
What I learned from quarantine is that my sleep schedule is really whack and should fix it lol.
I've learned that I have more opportunities with my art, since I've been focusing so much on anatomy and details. Still haven't gotten used to digital, but I can see a very nice change in my style when it comes to traditional!
i’ve learned how to 3d model which i consider a very valuable skill! getting into it was intimidating but i have a lot of fun using blender. i’ve also started to get over the internal shame of buying nice things for myself which i consider a plus
