The waves reflected in the moonlight as a clump of what appeared to be brown seaweed floated closer to the beach near the mansion. At the sight of the squid beanbag there was suddenly an excited neighing sound and the brown clump of 'seaweed' shot up from the waves as the young hydrus legeica known as Wave Dancer sprang into the air. She was aware that most of the pets residing in the mansion had been receiving gifts, but never thought that she would be included as she wasn't exactly the most social or close friends with any of them. Yet the squid was perfect for her and she approached with a rare smile. A note pinned to one tentacle read Enjoy and make your own wish for the night. I suggest a book to curl up with as you relax with your new friend. Wave Dancer thought about the suggestion and then nodded to herself, her wet mane sending tiny droplets of water through the air. She hastily wrote a note of her own and put it in a bottle, assuming the gift giver would find it. I would like to request as it would be interesting to see if my kind are mentioned in it.
