We should've had this holiday by now, shouldn't we? Did it get cancelled due to the issues with the server?

Holiday was bumped to May to give artists a chance to breathe I believe. According to others it started on the 12th or so last year soooo we might see it sometime this week?

Yes, it was moved to May a few years ago so there was more time between that and Masquerade. I was one of the few people who liked the change because I was still busy with university at the time and it was good to have a break. But the holiday schedule can be misleading. It says "Early to mid May", suggesting that is how long the holiday lasts, but actually, that's the window of time in which it usually starts. Anyway, it should be starting within the next few days unless real life issues cause it to be delayed like Survival was.

It should be happening soon(tm) but with how long days/weeks have been with the lockdown, I totally get how it could seem something got cancelled and the rest of the world wasn't informed.

People have asked questions like this for various holidays in the past whenever they seem like they're starting later than they "should be", and staff says the same thing every time. If the event was canceled, they would have said something about it.

It should be happening soon, they could just be delayed slightly if staff members are still dealing with real life issues. And also the small site instabilities we've been having still. This is part of why most holidays don't have exact start dates, so if something comes up they can be delayed a bit while still happening around the general time that they're supposed to.
