Words do little to truly express my gratitude. Any southpaw would agree, silent responses tell far more. My leaving is no new thing, not just among Viorans but any living, feeling life. Even a machine would say "Why hold on to someone, when you know you must let go of them?" That I leave is less painful now, than why I chose to never be tied down. I lost any reason to stay, I feel that I must carry that until my half lives expire, its mine to deal with.

Who I left behind can never know where I end up, or if I've forgotten them. Who is next in line I can't predict. Though Ahkoum[sub]778[/sub] acts as substitute memory, it cannot truly attach context or interpret like a living mind does. If I carry memories, it is because they have a more concrete hold.

No one knows how long until another Vioran would arrive, since any returning Vioran only comes to breed...I digress. There is something of a legend among Breeders and Soldiers, that a phenomenon occurs when a monumental change occurs. Its mostly unsubstantiated, the generation of Breeders die, while Soldiers never return to pass on the story. I can tell you.

It is said a rainbow in a nonvisible spectrum streaks the Vioran sky, clear across First Sun itself. Its origin is unexplained, and Viorans put no real effort to do so. It last appeared when I served. We don't literally see it, but with our extrasensory ability, we perceive it independently of sight.
