Yeah! It amazes me that it was made by one person. It's so simple, and yet there's so much stuff to do. And right when you think you've seen it all, another thing pops up. There was a Stardew Valley Cup recently. It was a blast to watch the streams from the four participating teams. I learned a lot from watching them.

Currently playing the next chapter of The Long Dark story mode. It's not really my cup of tea (I kinda like to just boot up on pacifist and hang out, haha), but I'm curious to see where this all goes after all this time...

Also just finished playing Secret Little Haven, which was really great. I love games like that and Digital: A Love Story, where you're just kind of exploring an older version of the internet and you get to feel like you're in the movie Hackers. So if anyone knows other games like that, please recommend!

Currently just playing Animal Crossing New Horizons, trying to get my island just perfect before sharing the dream address with people. I also need to finish a indie horror game I bought a while back called Mundaun.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword! I got it when I was rlly young but our wii broke before i could finish it : ( but my roommates now have one in the living room and I finally got into the game! I know it's one of the more widely hated on zelda games but I'm actually having fun even with some of the wonky wiimote mechanics : p

edit since no one has posted after me yet: now playing wasteland 3, this is such a gem. the perfect blend of xcom and fallout.

I'm playing too many things at the same time. Switching between: Tales of Zestiria Stardew Valley Horizon Zero Dawn Edge of Eternity

My thoughts so far:

Tales of Zestiria: The start and middle of the game were pretty fun. But then the story stops making sense, as if sometime during production they overhauled the story and forgot they already recorded half of the voicelines. Also the combat becomes less interesting and a lot of backtracking is introduced. A shame really, because I really really enjoyed the first half of the game. I'm currently doing the post game dungeon, and plan to do another playthrough to get some trophies/achievements.

Stardew Valley: I played this a LOT in November and December. My interest has waned a bit since I did most of what there is to do. I still have some recipes left to craft and some quests to do, so occasionally I boot it back up.

Horizon Zero Dawn: I'm still at the beginning of the game. The stealth gameplay is not really my thing, and I suck at combat, so maybe I should watch some videos or something. I really like the world and the story. I really hope I get the hang of the combat soon, because that would make it a lot less stressfull to further explore the world. I'm eyeing Forbidden West, but I don't have a PS5, so I'll probably pick it up a few years down the line.

Edge of Eternity: It doesn't do anything that hasn't been done before. There is nothing extraordinary, but I can't put it down. I don't know why, maybe nostalgia for turn based combat? This was made by a development studio with only 9 people. If you take that into account, the game is very impressive. Though I do hope the story picks up a bit soon, because the gameplay elements will end up being repetitive down the line. Playing on PC because the PS4 version was double the price, and I read somewhere that the PS4 version has framerate issues. I do have framerate issues on PC, especially whenever I pick up a resource. But the laptop I'm playing on is 4 years old and barely meets the minimum requirements. So it might fare better with better hardware.

Horizon Forbidden West. It’s incredible in so many ways.

Horizon Zero Dawn Forbidden West !! I loved the first game so much, so pumped for this sequel. Taking my time as always but really enjoying it.

Currently switching between Lost Ark and Risk of Rain 2.

I'm so stoked for Scarlet and Violet, and seeing another open world Pokemon game.
