Thanks for the clarity! The previous saying 'silence starts fires' rings extremely true to this type of delicate situation; It's nice to see staff giving us small updates like this and def. helps put a some of our worries to rest. โค๏ธ
I'm very thankful that I'm lucky enough to not be missing any CWs or cash shop items (that I can notice right now). I reported some cheap sP items but I'm happy to take a backseat in favor getting others their expensive items back first.
What I'm not thankful for, is the fact that the cash shop purchase log does not show cart checkouts. During black fridays, I buy everything I want at once, using the cart. A huge majority of the cash items I've ever bought, simply do not show in the purchase history.
This isn't the first time I've been annoyed by this, but this time it's particularly inconvenient. Heck, it used to even just say "Cash Shop Cart Transaction" with the total spent (which isn't that helpful in this situation anyway) but doesn't even do that anymore, unless I missed it. I'd love if the purchase history was more thorough and possibly filter up actual purchases from gains so I don't have to trawl through so much morty card spam.
Thanks again Bug for reassuring us.
I noticed a similar thing with the pawn shop purchases. It lists that something was bought, but the item is blank. I don't think I'm missing any CWs, but I never tracked them either, mostly because I have so few.

my man, you're a saint. Thanks for everything, hope you get things worked out soon.
Thank you for tirelessly working on this, everyone!
In the meantime, folks should stop telling other players not to be upset over this. Everyone has a right to be upset over the service they've received, so long as they don't resort to breaking any rules (eg. harassing staff) in that frustration.
A lot of folks have spent a lot more money than me on this site, and I can completely understand how they may feel disappointed by the lackluster initial responses.
Folks should be allowed to be angry and upset.

Thank you Bug, how frustrating for everyone User and Staff alike โค
Thank you . You have been amazing through all of this! โค
My anxiety is too bad to even look at what I'm missing.. There are too many things to stress about in the real world. I'd rather escape here.. And not look lol
I can't possibly taint my happy place :)

My amateur guess is that blank Custom Clothing spots in the Cash Shop log do not represent a wiped CW; they are probably entries where you slotted something, and the code to register that doesn't put the item name to it. I agree it'd be nice for tracking purposes to have that information, but if I'm correct then the blank spots are not inherently interlaced with the missing wardrobe issues.

Thanks for the updates. I got really frustrated but I understand that everyone is trying their best. Gonna try some patience now โ
Hey everyone; I'm seeing some misinformation I'd like to clear up real quick.
Understandably, people are looking for ways to tell which items they've lost, or at least how many items they lost.
However, all of the methods we've seen come up so far (comparing old/new wardrobe counts, checking CS logs for blank images) are entirely unrelated to this glitch despite sounding very plausible. None of these methods will tell you anything about what you may have lost to this glitch.
It really sucks, but there is truly no way for users to check how many items or what items were lost.
You are also not required to know to get your items back. As staff, we have various logs, data, analytic tools available, and we are using everything at our disposal to sort this out.
We understand that this is still not a happy thing to hear, and that not having a way to check is pretty anxiety-inducing in itself. Nothing we say here invalidates your feelings on the reality of the situation. We own up to that, and are doing everything we can to make it right.
I just want to clear this up because it's misled some people to panic, thinking they've lost hundreds of items or dozens of CS purchases based on faulty information. I hope my post here can spare you some unnecessary panic; we know the reality of the situation is stressful enough as-is.

I really appreciate you, , for keeping a line of communication with us during this time, and in a kind and thoughtful way. It feels like you're acknowledging us as people instead of just numbers. It's really refreshing, to say the least. Thank you for what you're doing for Subeta. <3
Thanks Bug for all your hard work. I just finished going through my wardrobe and compared things with the checklist I had on SubetaLodge and reported all the sP items I'm missing. I'll trust you'll figure out the CW issue... because I really don't know what I'm missing there!
i (like everyone else) am disappointed that the backups weren't checked for 4 months straight, but since i'm fairly inactive i'm not super concerned. if i'm missing anything at all i could be rolled back without complaint. losing holiday items would kind of suck, but i assume that there's a way around that too.
i do wonder if a secondary backup of some sort might be helpful? i think i remember there being an option to download your account data at some point, but i could be totally wrong. it might be neat to be able to download a file with personal account data once per x amount of time, but not knowing how the data is interpreted back end makes it difficult to say whether this would be useful later. allowing subetalodge a higher level of access to track information would also be really useful, but that opens two other cans of worms (partnering with another site & spending time on coding)...
I'm not sure I understand. Before the glitch I had "n" CWs.
After the glitch I had "n-1" CWs.
I located the missing CW by comparing my spreadsheet/subeta lodge data to the CWs in my wardrobe and finding one missing...are you saying that I could be wrong and have others missing even though they all appear to be there?
confused catte is confused

Thanks for your posts. It has eased my mind a bit. Iโll continue to wait and see how many items Iโm missing. I know I bought a lot of Black Friday items. And I did take a screenshot of what I received at Luminaire by friends.

No, if you happened to have a Subetalodge list, your info is probably accurate (assuming you kept it up to date accurately, of course) and would confirm the item(s) you're missing if you wanted to report
There's just no onsite method to find out what items you're missing if you haven't already externally logged that information yourself previously though
On one hand I'm miffed: some wearables were hard to come by (and I've no idea what I currently have nor what I DID have)
On the other, I just try to go 'it's all just pixels, Can't complain what happens to them, they're all code' (This is a common "calming" method on another site; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't)
Be glad that the staff admitted to mea culpa and that they're trying to rectify the error; most people/staff wouldn't cop to the error.

That's what I thought--and I did report it.
So idk if you were just trying to describe your own mental process and it was your word choices that sounded like you were trying to tell other people how to feel, but...if you did intend to try and tell people how you think they should feel about losing their stuff?
Don't. "Be glad it's not worse" just makes some people even more furious.
