So this means anything added in the past 4 months could be missing? I had started going through my SubetaLodge list and found a few but that was early Friday morning. So I should start again probably if I understand this.
Any chance that users who kept offsite records of their wardrobes can send them in?

I&;ve written a userscript to export the list of items from the SubetaLodge wardrobe checklist, so I can provide that in whatever format (and it should be pretty plug-and-play, so other people could too).
Thank you for this excellent idea. We're discussing this behind-the-scenes and seeing what we could get set up. Sit tight for now. <3
If it helps: I have a recent backup of the SubetaLodge checklists and can share it if the information is helpful.
Good grief, the hysteria in this thread.
People, calm down, the staff have already said that they WILL be doing everything in their power to return items regardless of whether or not they're reported. The report thing is just to try and speed up/streamline the whole process. The 1k CSC is an apology gift, not compensation per se.
(I do agree that in the future, though, it'd probably be best to make sure there's an up-to-date backup before rolling out a huge change like this, and also avoiding doing this during an event. Can't be helped, though, what's done is done and all that.)
Staff - y'all are awesome and I 100% support you guys, I know you're doing the best you can in this situation. Thanks for the updates, the CSC and, honestly, handling this 100x better than lots of sites would. (If you guys think this place is bad, boy howdy you should see some of the other pet sites I've been on...) I'm rooting for you guys! Good luck!
This may be a dumb question but it’s still safe to put new items IN your wardrobe right?
[-Disease] Staff said the glitch that caused this to happen has been fixed, so it should be, yeah! :)
I am confused how removing an item caused this glitch, and everyone had that item got it deleted from their wardrobe when someone else took the item out...then how are some people missing the item, but not others?
I know there are always glitches, usually site-breaking, during holiday events but this is too far.
i just want to reiterate something that has already been said, but how do you run a site and not notice it hasn't been backed up for four months? i could understand 4 days but months? and how do you not do a manual backup before you push something as big as a complete wardrobe rework? i'm trying to be very understanding and i know staff is doing all they can to fix this but come on, guys. how do you excuse this?
I have no idea what was even in mine since I no longer play properly lol. I feel like I lost all my melody items from last december though and probably whatever items I bought black friday... but idk

I lost maybe 50 or so items. I have no idea what they are though -_-
A quick clarification: Some of you have noticed that the new wardrobe is showing a higher item count than the old one. This is not related to the item deletion glitch; this is an unrelated glitch where the new wardrobe is erroneously including your Ornament Inventory in the count.
And an update: We've been working nonstop all day to boot up the backups, investigate the information we have, and figure out a plan for restoring items and notifying users that items have been restored. I will continue to give updates as things happen.
Finally, I'd like to clarify our stance on a prominent concern we're seeing expressed:
You do not need to use the Report Form to get your items back. Restoring the items correctly is our responsibility to worry about, not yours. We provided the Report Form to streamline the report process for those who wish to make reports, and to consolidate the information we gain from these reports to better help us utilize this information. While we appreciate any information users choose to volunteer, we aren't relying on it; it's just one piece of the puzzle. We're working very hard to figure out what items were affected and restore them to accounts using ALL the tools, logs, backups and data we have at our disposal - not just user reports.
If you know you are missing a few items and would like to report it, we sincerely thank you; we know we're not entitled to your time and effort, especially to fix a mistake that was our fault. If you don't know what you are missing, or don't feel like making a report, please don't feel pressured to figure it out for us or force yourself to make the reports. You are allowed to take a step back from the website and wait for site admins to sort this out. We are working hard to begin restoring items as soon as possible, and there is nothing you guys need to do while you wait. And again, we apologize for the wait and for the understandable stress, anxiety and frustration this issue has caused.

OK I don't have the patience to scroll and read forever. Sorry if this is already answered.
Does anyone know if we are using the account search to check if we are missing items, and it says you have 1 in the wardrobe. Is it pulling the information from the NEW glitched wardrobe, or the old one? Thank you!
Thank you for keeping us informed. I do have a question to ask though.
If someone is missing an item, lets say and user buys another one to add into the wardrobe, what will happen when everything is fixed? Will the restored item go into the inventory or will it bounce back because you already have one in the wardrobe?
Just curious because I'd like to restore my stock, but not sure if I should. tyvia.
I was using the old wardrobe organization page to see if I was missing items. Just wanna be sure that means the items are also in the NEW wardrobe as well?
Sorry I suddenly feel so dumb. I could account search it all but I'm hoping a reply here saves me some time. OTL
Same, someone said they had items missing listed on Discord. I don't have nor want a discord. I'd love it if someone could make a wishlist of all missing wardrobe items so people could just check from there. I know it'd be a lot of work but that user would be so damned appreciated right now. I checked all my gifts that was sent to me and all mt CWs are there, I can't check my tree or anything I purchased myself.
After this, lesson learned though: keep Subeta Lodge lists updated and make a CW one to keep track of everything.
maybe you could put a tl;dr version of the clarification in big bold text at the top of the newspost or something? That might help ease some of the confusion over what's going on, maybe.
I appreciate being informed but have no idea what if anything has been lost. I suspect I might have lost something but can't say for sure. Since I generally get stuff for my wardrobe, send it there and think nothing more of it.
@blackwolf_2009 The missing items are completely missing from your account. So if you account search an item and it says 1 in Wardrobe, it should show up in BOTH wardrobes. The only way to tell what items are missing is if you remember having something that's no longer in there, or if you have a list somewhere to cross-reference. Both wardrobes should have the same items (except the new wardrobe also shows the ornament inventory currently)
There's a user-created spreadsheet here with the items that have been posted as missing (with clickable links if you hover the item names if you wanna do account searches for them). As said, you don't have to do that, but if it would help with peace of mind in the meantime, there it is. It has both CWs and sP items
