I was going to pick door 4, but since that's taken, I'll take door 2.
Pinged groups to move things along.
Never too late to win the day
[Item=Ray of Hope]

Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky, The flying cloud, the frosty light: The year is dying in the night; Ring out, wild bells, and let him die.. Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Door 3. I've been sleep deprived and I just found my rollator (walker with 4 wheels) outside my apartment door; I forgot to bring it in yesterday :o
That leaves Door 1 to me!
🌈 I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days sneak up on me at once 🌈
I'm glad you were able to find your rollator :) and, you're the winner! Your turn to set up 3 doors.
(I'm sorry about the pause. I was in the middle of sending prizes out yesterday when one of my cats suddenly passed away. He was 10 months old.)
I also don't have a story to go with what was behind each door and why. Everyone got a wishlist item.

Explanation & Prizes:
Each door reveals a bit of who I am...
Door 1: Paternal grandfather worked with wood as a profession & shared his skills with his sons (my father included), which influenced my interest in wood.
Door 2: (winner) René Magritte (a famous artist) is mostly known for his "ceci n'est pas une pipe" (this is not a pipe)... it is an image of a pipe. https://aeon.co/videos/how-rene-magritte-turned-philosophy-into-painting Some of his works include silhouettes of men in top hats with clouds, which the door references. There are various reasons why this door evoked a strong connection inside of me: René Magritte questions words, philosophy, image representations, art, societal concepts, etc. Not to take anything at face value and just because someone says X is a rule, Y is ugly, Z is impossible you do not have to accept XYZ. I try not to let others define what I wear (accused of being mentally "mad" when wearing a mad hatter hat that took me over 400h to make), I challenge concepts of beauty (I have a hairless cat... I get into a lot of philosophical debates...), & much more. What resonated the most with me is that years ago, my paternal grandmother (who was an artist herself and taught art for years) brought me to a René Magritte exhibit. My grandmother influenced the artist that I am today even though she's passed on years ago. I even have artworks of hers in my home.
Door 3: It reminded me of the artist M.C. Escher, an illusionist coveted by mathematicians. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaFCHXQVhFI I have seen exhibits of his mind-blowing masterpieces that still resonate with me.
Door 4: Opening the door, you discover a white wall... closing back the door you start to admire your surroundings. When I saw this door, I immediately was reminded of land art, interaction & manipulation of humans with nature. https://henitalks.com/talks/landart/
Door 5: You walk through the open door hoping to be teleported, or something... only to continue walking through. Disappointed at first and feeling a bit silly, you start to ponder looking around... the majestic scene is quite beautiful, why would you want to be anywhere else? Take the time to pause: love what you have instead of wishing to be elsewhere for even elsewhere you'll keep searching for more if you don't find gratitude for what you have. (an important philosophy that I try to incorporate in my everyday)
You're at your favorite gourmet store when you see three boxes. No one else seems to see them, as everyone else is just striding right byu them like they weren't there. You get a little closer and lean down to check them out....
BOX on the RIGHT This one is the color of melted cheese.
BOX in the MIDDLE This one is chocolate colored.
BOX on the LEFT This one is prismatic.
Well, you should definitely open one...
I'll take the prismatic box on the left - don't need to be thinking about chocolate!
🌈 I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days sneak up on me at once 🌈
Would like the box in the middle please and thanks
Looking for these : x100
You feel a little hungry just looking at the cheese colored box. You open it to find some pizza toppings that'd make some great additions to your wardrobe! Wait! What? you get a little happy inside just looking at the chocolate colored box. You open the box to find it full of fluffy sweaters. I bet they'd taste pretty good! Um, are you alright? Feeling dazzled by the prismatic paper, you pick up the rainbow box. You open it to find it stuffed to the brim with Halloween candy! Now those are some cute dresses. Huh? what are you talking about?
