- They can disable chat in one, that is what I meant, not close.

Ah thanks! I just helped open a server for one of my forum groups, so I need to start getting familiar with Discord lingo....

That is a good suggestion :) but unfortunately there are several concerns that make an official Discord not feasible in the long term. For instance, we can't enforce the block system, and we can't know who any given Discord user is on Subeta. If someone breaks the rules in the server, but refuses to tell us their Subeta account, we'd have no way to enforce our usual warnings system with them, which is unfair to everyone else. There are ways around this, but nothing feasible for us right now given our resources and other priorities.
I do know that some Shoutbox users have made their own Discord server, and there are other Subeta themed Discord servers made and run by users, that you can find links for here and there in the forums. So there are still options for that kind of thing, just nothing official, sorry "^^

- No problem at all, sweets <3 It was just a suggestion. I admin one of the unofficial Subeta Discord servers myself. I totally get why the SB is closed and wonder if there are any chat based alternatives out there that could replace the current client/setup of the SB itself? Hmmm.

We are looking into various options, just have to make sure it's within our resources. :)
And wow, that's cool. I'm curious which one x)

- the one linked in the Subeta Hangout group on FB <3

I said near the start of this event that I preferred the Shoutbox being closed over there being problems with the Survival infections and stuff, not wanting to lose my progress and have to start over like that incident last year. The three Discord servers I'm in haven't been very active at the moment, I don't know if there are any others I can join, so I've had to actually bring myself to talk to certain people I've wanted to talk to through comments and stuff, something which I'm usually too shy to do unless they do it to me first. I guess if I did that before, I can do it again.
Do you plan on having any scheduled downtime again anytime soon? I remember there was some a few days before Masquerade started last year.
