Battle quests you can only face what you're given. Like say you're doing a quest, you can and you're asked to beat Tide, you can only beat him once for the quest, you can't keep battling him for the exp. Outside battle quests, yes you can battle all challengers as much as you want. You will get a little exp each win after the first 10 battles.

Back to BQs, if you can't beat a challenger and you've used up all your skips, you can keep battling them until you win, the moment you win, you're sent to the next level. I hope that helps.

Just realized tomorrow is the first day of August, which means Morostide is right around the corner! Does anyone else have one opponent that they measure progress against? Cause for me it’s Nightlady. My second and third battler are tiers 10 and 11 right now, hoping I can up that to 11 and 12 by Morostide and have a full 30 shots at more Shrieks.

Might be able to get a few of my T8s up to 9 by then too, but I don’t remember if T9s have a shot at beating Nightlady or not. Does anyone know?

ugh, time passes so quickly! It used to be Nightlady for my battle pet as well until some years ago. This time, I'm going to aim for Rouland because I absolutely need the Manifesting Weapon! I hope I can do it, because last year, I couldn't even beat Organ Collector, and Devora only 5 times... Iskir progressed well this year because I started regularly doing battle quests, and I now do have a set that fits Rouland, but let's see. Here's to winning lots of Skrieks! :)

it's all about having the right weapons for those I think. I can beat Menecuda with Natasha and Cronus Blade. We discussed Biting Cake here. I got close to beating him once using only the Cronus Blade and another weapon that doesn't fit his icons, but I was impatient and skipped after that. Will try when he randomly pops up in quests again.

Right. Its good to know that other T12s and T13s struggle....lol

Nightlady is definitely one I measure progress against because I throw as many pets as possible at her for Shrieks. She's one of the most important challengers to me, if not THE most year to year.

Ah yes Nightlady... I'm hoping Arturo will be ready to take her on by then. He's inching closer to tier 10 so I have confidence he'll be there before Morostide begins! More chances for Shrieks!

I just beat it with Cronus and Ancestral Unrest for now. But having a lot of health helps too.

Help needed. I am struggling to get win 4 and 5 on my t13 pet on Baenwurath . Using OHS and Cronus and swithing to Natasha towards the end. I was using the skelly scroll and cobalts but run out of HP because it keeps healing! Does the Mecha or Soma help on it?

Mecha is great for adding a nice bit of boosted stats to your pet, specially against the castle. I remember battling it and using dark element potions to try and do as much damage as I could each turn.

I'm thinking of turning all my battle tokens into boosters before Morostide. Keeping a few of each type of token for emergencies, I have about 90k easy tokens to turn into potions. (I haven't attempted to figure out the likely stat return from that much yet.)

Should I use them on Severus (tier 11, about 1000 points from tier 12) or Numair (tier 9, about 400 points from tier 10) or split between them? Or dump all of them on a little pet just to see how high I can push them?

Depends on what you want to get out of Morostide challengers I suppose. What are your goals?

nothing specific, though obviously more Shrieks are always good. Just wanted to set myself a deadline because I've been thinking 'huh, I really should do this' for months now.

If you want chances at Shrieks I’d dump stats into Numair. I’m almost positive my second battler got 10 wins on Nightlady last year when he had way less stats than Severus has now. I can’t remember if he’d made it to T11 yet or if he was still T10 at that point but if you spend the next couple months boosting Numair I bet you can get at least a few wins, maybe even 10 depending on how much you can boost.

Actually now that I’m looking my third battler got a couple wins too, and she’s just now T10.

sounds logical, thanks. I can't remember if Severus got any wins last year, I'm far too lazy to actually look. This year could be interesting if I manage to have three pets trying.
