I'm not too good with high fashion/fantasy male HAs. I have mostly fem HAs dressed like that on my style file because I find it easier to think of them as typical runway models or something? I don't know how to explain.

My masc HAs are usually way more modern and casual. Speaking of which this one I put on is a mashup idea between quarantining and masquerade. Not sure when masq starts but I hope it's soon...

It really does shine through, you can always see some kind of back story with them. And thanks! I'm really glad we started to get nose wearables, it really helps make nice faces. The Krampus nose is actually my favourite out of all of them so far haha.

Also yeah it's hard to finish things when you have like ten ideas (fully formed or not) going on. And I get stuck often, so it's nice that we have the save function now!

An autobiographical HA is always good! I used to live pretty close to the ocean but I haven't been there in like 8 years. (I moved to the praries) I love those boots your HA is wearing, I used to use them a LOT, they're so good

generally, the masq items have some really good goth + fantasy fodder, esp in more recent years! and i'm not sure how much makeup you use, but i can't really do much without these either:

M. , what did you think of the recent Steamworks collection? A lot of it was very clearly 17th and 18th-century inspired, and I love it.

Also, there are a lot of items out there that are read as feminine in 20th-21st century styles that work very well for either or any gender presentation in styles inspired by earlier periods.

Indeed the steamworks collections always intrigue me, I've just added a large collection of them to the historical clothing items masterpost.

Well, I thought last year's Steamworks collection was very disappointing but this year I specifically asked for items that were inspired by Hamilton, Dangerous Liaisons, and the Tudors because I was miserable last year with the overabundance of industrial goth/rave stuff, and tired AF of listening to ravers complain that frills were played out when the Steamworks has traditionally taken Victorianesque and piratey stuff, stuck gears on it and called it a day.

And I thought this year they really delivered.

Like you, I'm really NOT into dressing my avatars up in contemporary casual stuff except for Gravity Falls cosplays.
