- I actually thought it was going to be easy till I looked at the forums. lol Thankfully for me it was Luminaire so that gave me a slight excuse to get out there. Most of them should still be open when you get around to it. In the place where I keep the list up-to-date, I usually only need to change 1 or 2 links a month.

The writting a book thing, that sounds really cool, also if thats what your character is to pretty much look like i like her even more now cause she has a story with her, makes it way cooler. as for clothes though, ugh i gotta go through mine....

Haha thanks! Yeah, as I conceded previously, I agree that some rules are necessary, but I think it's important not to go overboard with them or else your forum won't be a friendly, welcoming space that fosters conversation.

The other sites I'm on in addition to Subeta are Flight Rising (I don't think there's a referral link to offer but my UN there is RadioactiveSquid and if you decide to join, you can state who referred you) and Dragon Cave (I don't think there is any referral process there at all, but if you want to see my dragons, there's a link in my signature). FR has beautiful artwork and a nice animated battling interface. Dragon Cave is pretty much just a collecting game where you can easily acquire as many dragons as you want, no limit, and there are many more breeds to choose from. Both allow you to breed your dragons and trade them with others; FR has a more complex genetic component to breeding than DC.

Oh man, that sounds awful! Sorry you have to put up with that. I'm so glad I don't live in multi-unit housing; it would drive me absolutely nuts. I can already hear my neighbors fighting much too well with two walls, a lawn and a driveway between us. I was lucky enough to get to live on some acreage in a fairly rural area for a while and that was super nice! I couldn't even see my neighbors' houses from my place. Unfortunately, we got into some financial trouble (thanks, ex) and had to move, but it was fun to play farmer for a little while. We even had pet sheep and chickens. Urban living has its advantages too though; it took way too much time and fuel to get to a real city from that location. And as it turns out, I wasn't really cut out to be a farmer. X'D I would like to move back out to someplace less populated than where I am now though.

Well, if you are prepared to really commit to the Halloween lifestyle, all you have to do is say it's your religion and they can't touch you lol. I consider myself a nontheistic Satanist (and if you aren't sure what exactly that means, I invite you to look into it...my values align very well with The Satanic Temple...they're not evil or cultish, nor are there any blood sacrifices or anything like that going on; it's very much based on reason, science and compassion with some edgy symbolism thrown in for fun). It's not about anything supernatural but it counts as a religion when you need it. And if your religious principles compel you to display a Baphomet statue or pentagram in your window, they really can't deny you that without encroaching on your religious freedom. :P

Ooooo I've heard of FR, some Samanayr friends are on that and I wouldn't put it past them to be on DC as well. I first started in a pet website on Ponyisland. That was a LONG time ago. Eventually I found this and just kinda stuck with it. Neopets was not as appealing to me for some reason. Just not a fan.

Multi-Unit housing SUCKS. . (Stupid x) O_O I'm so jelly! That is like my dream that I'm working on. I want land and my house. I want to build a massive greenhouse and grow grow grow! :D All kinds of foods and herbs. Eventually I would like to open a small coffe cafe kinda thing where I use the items I grow. :D Vanilla being one in particular. I also want chickens and bees. <3_<3 I currently drive WAY too far to get to work because the city my job is in is ridiculously expensive. I will hopefully move back in the next year or so (Cross fingers). I hope you get to relocate back to your comfortable area. I know first hand how annoying it can be to live somewhere where you aren't entirely comfortable.

Doesn't scare me, pretty interesting if you ask me. I don't see a purpose to religion past self mental preservation. I have known all kinds of people, some of which had VERY interesting religious views. I dated a guy (Not for very long) who was the leader of a sex cult. It was not some small thing either, he was like a "Son of..." I dont remember what it was exactly but they would do anything he said (XXX rated to the max). CRAZY stuff. lol Personally, I just live. I don't think about it? lol And I like it that way. My day's are spent trying to be happy, having fun, and staying productive. That is what I like and it works for me. :)

Something I learned about edibles, IRL anyway, is they're better homemade. My own ice cream and cakes just come off as better than anything short of other homemade. I look forward to making a whole lotta cactus fruit sorbet later this year.

I also made another leap towards eventual independence, by getting some paperwork to resolve an issue with my driver's license. I'll know in a month's time.

I have it in my mind to live far away. in a small house with a huge open space to myself. Somewhere cold, I had 30+ years of desert life to convince me to seek this alternative.

Bixiouie is gorgeous by the way! I love blacklight pets! I was considering that for Nebula, and had them Galactic for a little while before settling on Reborn (so they can be a Cinderace).

I haven't heard of Ponyisland...I assume it's pretty much just ponies lol. Horses are cool but I was never much of a "horse person" so it's not too surprising I never found my way to that one. Neopets always had a lot of faults but as soon as I made my first pet (he was a Glowing Lupe for a long time...he's Robot now, if he still exists), I got all stupid attached and couldn't abandon him so I stuck around until things just got too wretched there to bear. Someone there referred me here, and since Subeta is far superior, I've stayed here ever since.

I had an herb garden at my old place. I don't have much of a green thumb (I'm trying desperately just to keep two succulents alive now and the struggle is real for me, I tell ya) but I really enjoyed my herbs! My favorite one was a patchouli plant I got from an herb festival...I really miss it but I've never seen another one anywhere. My husband's thing was tomatoes...holy heck, the amount of tomatoes he'd grow was ridiculous. But they sure were better than ones from the store. We grew other stuff too but the main things that always did well were tomatoes and zucchini. Chickens are amazing pets; they enjoy being held and petted, they eat bugs and you get free eggs. And keeping bees would be both interesting and beneficial. Probably not something I'd get into but I think it's awesome. I hope you get to grow stuff soon, and good luck with your cafe dreams! :D

I honestly shouldn't have opened that can of worms here but I was buzzed and talking too much lmao oops. Anyway, since it's open and worms are crawling everywhere: I personally don't have any use for actual religion, but everyone else can do their own thing as long as it's not impacting anyone else. The ol' "do what you will as long as you cause no harm" philosophy. Unfortunately, I think a lot of organized religions do cause harm though. I'm not actually a member of TST (for one thing, the local chapter seems to have a lot of time-commitment requirements for joining, so meh) but as I said, I do agree with their stated tenets and I enjoy their professional trolling endeavors lol. As far as stories go, I think Satan's a pretty cool character for being the original freethinker and the one who encouraged humans to seek knowledge (much like Prometheus, another of my favorite characters from mythology). And I do have a nice Baphomet statue because it's an essential part of any self-respecting edgelord's home decor. XP I used to have a whole altar set up just for the ambiance but I decided it was taking up too much room that I could be using for rocks, books and struggling cacti.

That guy you dated, yikes! I think you're lucky you got away from that. Definitely not a fan of dangerous cults and that one sounds like bad news. D: If it was all consensual, then great for all involved, but from what I've heard those tend to be very manipulative and exploitative. Anyway, glad you're safe!

Ok... first of all... icecream?! You have my full attention. Cookies are my next fav but that is just... life. Cookies = my life. I'm so jelly. I will have to figure out how to do that, i'm guessing you do something with the milk??? I know how to make butter and slightly know about tincture but that's just cause I love jolly rancher like canicandies. :3 Homemade, for just about anything, I find is the best. If done properly of course. Can't expect someone who knows NOTHING to make something the best... practice practice practice! And I just got into cactus myself. I have a thing for orchids so I would probably do vanilla-based items since that will be my main focus (I have a... healthy... obsession with orchids, I swear!). I just started growing christmas cactus (My mom gave it to me) and dragonfruit! So I'm rather excited for all the flowers at the least.

Herbs are fun but I find myself having hard times with them as well... Cilantro just... hates me. But! I can grow almost any kind of orchid or fruit tree/bush! That is about the extent of my growing abilities. Unfortunately, suculents dont like me either... I'm not sure if I water them too much or not enough. Since I'm so used to orchids, I find that I neglect a lot of orther plants because orchids dont need much water. This doesn't bother the fruit trees/bushes much either cause they tend to have to go through slight droughts too so... They work for me. Guess you just have to find the type of plant that can... endure you? lmaooo I'm a total plant killer unless they like neglect... so I got ones that like that kind of love :D haha Cactus like me too for this reason, since they store their water. lol Try an orchid! I'd be happy to send you one you just say the word.

You can volunteer and be lied to. But anywho! Thank you! My dog is batman in dog form and the most crazy loveable thing in my life. She is my sanity. I LOVE her look for that reason. She is meant to be a deterrent. Living semi-alone doesnt give me the greatest security, so her and a security system help a BUNCH. All you need to know about her is she will rush up to you JUST to get a pet on the head and say hi. Best dog ever. :D Would love to just snuggle your puppy too. Looks like a natural heating pad. :3 My puppy is the best during shark week. Snuggle up with her on your belly and bingo, insto heat!

Yeah I love looking through other people's pet profiles! I do need to start setting mine up; the only one I've put solid information on is Sir Dekar, though I have solid ideas for pretty much everyone! And I definitely appreciate wanting color - it's why I held off on getting a Yaheera until I could get a Spectrum potion. Now I'm aiming for a Blacklight potion to use on an Antlephore! (And of course I want to collect more Kanis and Kerubi colors if I can come up with character ideas for them...)

And, you like to garden as well? I do patio gardens! Normally I grow various types of pepper as well as some herbs for tea (lavender, chamomile, and various mints). Last year a severe heat wave killed a lot of my plants no matter how much I tried to protect them; it was the first year I didn't have any homegrown poblanos to eat or dry. ;_; Hoping for a better year this year!

I agree about the learning process. I'm far from being able to make some simple things even the way I like.

I'm a little confused about your milk comment. But the cactus fruit sorbet is non dairy, though I originally intended on making cactus fruit ice cream. My next project is peanut butter and Pop tart, which I dub Shingles and Mortar.

My aversion for hot climates is based on overuse of air conditioning, sometimes I am shivering indoors. I'm actually a heat freak, even during summer. When I bolt outside to warm up, despite the infernal temperature.

In comparison, I'm grass which can grow just about everwhere. Practically indestructible it is, not fire, not drought, or grazing can fully kill it. No natural force can do that. Except for ice and the ocean floor ...

Mmmm Heat waves! ^.^ That is just heaven to me! Tropical living is my life, so I thrive in sticky humid heat. :D I'm sorry to hear about your green babies though! That is not fun. My mom used to put up a cool box when there was a heat wave. She would make a wood box that had small holes all over it, enough to give light but mainly shade and air. Then she would go out and put ice packs and ice cubes in a gowl. Not sure if it truly worked... but she swore it did ^^;; That is with orange and avocado anyway. Shade and wind I find are the only means of counteracting a heat wave. I would think it was smarter to put a fan and then have the ice on the other side, so it regulates colder air... but I never thought to tell my mom. haha. woops. Ya... I would probably make a cover, double up on some screening and then get a mister and maybe dry ice... set up the ice on the other side of the fan and let the cold air go to town... ^^; This is fun cause I never actually had to think about this problem... I know what to do for cold.. but never heat. xD

Just keep practicing and you will get it! :D and I think I got a bit confused myself. Lets move forward. Ice cream is amazing and if you can make it, it is one of the most profitable products on the market. I would def pay to taste cactus fruit icecream. And Peanut butter and poptart?! What kind of poptart? There are quite a bit of flavors (Obnoxiously much but that is another discussion... birthday cake poptart... Rolls eyes). Lets just say, i'm about that. Bring it on (Especially if it is strawberry poptarts ^o^ Those are love too).

I do have one thing that grass cannot withstand... my puppy... :) She killed a MASSIVE yard ALL BY HERSELF. lol Unfortunately, number one and number two takes its toll... however, it did come back after we moved! Grass... so fickle you are. xD Plus.. it is the building block of the food chain on land! Gotta love grass!

Ice cream would take some experimentation, but the sorbet was a hit. It's pungent aroma is exactly how it tastes, very pronounced. I wouldn't be surprised if it were true, and suddenly a craze unfolds. Not much purple ice creams out there.

I don't know yet, but strawberry would be my first choice. I suppose toasting would be in order, for texture. It'll be an experience for me. Not unlike my first batch, granted it was a ready mix, the final product had a marshmallow texture. And though plain vanilla, it also hinted marshmallows. What I want to do ASAP, is coffee...
