: you need access to the Omen Islands by completing the Uncharted Land Map (I did this years ago but you can get pieces through random events or by buying them. If you buy all nine pieces in user shops it costs roughly 8 mil)

If you have done that, you are able to see an icon of Merana in a little hurricane on the top left of the world map WHEN SHE APPEARS (idk how frequent she appears, but it is pretty rare, I haven't seen her often and I am pretty sure it is on random days)
