I wouldn't mind more pets tbh, but I understand that they're kind of almost done with them. :x Maybe it's time to release a few Harvest & Reborn pets, then continue with the rest for Fireside? 'Tis technically the harvest season, so it fits even if these pets aren't really spooky. Or conjure up a new spoopy colour, if the workload has some room for it.
Also - offtopic, but angelic month was god-tier and nobody can tell me otherwise.
I noticed last night we haven't gotten any rag dolls released yet either. I'm guessing those and the phugs might come out in wave two, if we are going to get some new ones. Hopefully maybe lol.

Absolutely agree! EVERYTHING is super cute! I think a lot of us focus on wearables, but I feel like absolutely everything just knocks it out of the park this year. Cute spooky critters!!! Everything's so cute, I cryyy T_T
It's normally impossible for me to have a favorite event item but this year, I have two!

I don't know about the rag dolls, but there's not going to be any more new phugs since the artist who drew them retired.

The phugs won't happen again. We did a round last year as a tribute to the previous artist that did them because it was her favorite thing. sry

Most of the new items are really neat, but the hooked-nose witch imagery is super anti-Semitic, and even though that wasn't the intention, I'm pretty disappointed that we still don't seem to know this in 2019.
After reading your post I looked that (the hooked-nose witch being anti-Semitic) up (had never heard of it before) but couldn't find any evidence of it. Do you have any sources you could share? I'm curious about it.

Same with traditional goblin imagery (think the goblins guarding the bank in Harry Potter), the exaggerated hook nose being the common denominator between the two. The witch's hat itself is traditionally anti-Semitic in nature as well, but I can't say that I know how that usage is regarded by actual Jews. That is something I can't speak to.
To be fair, while Jewish people were made to wear conical hats in the past (according to Wikipedia the exact shape varies according to place and time), the 'witch's hat' was also just... something women wore.
Pretty sure the witch skins are meant to be very Wicked Witch a la Wizard of Oz. (i mean shit we've got items with the word "spook" in them and that has all kinds of bad history BUT YA KNOW things change with time so yeah nobody dressing up at a witch is doing it to be racist)
And yeah the pointy hat was just A Look back then. Puritans also wore them.
