Win a game of Reflection without any wrong guesses!
1/20,922,789,888,000 (1 in ~21 trillion) chance? Seriously I wonder how many people actually have this chieve.
I don't wonder how many people have it. I wonder if even one user has it 😭
Also - is that math right? Surely it has to be lower than that?
i've been looking for someone with "perfect game" since i took over the forum title thread.
as far as i'm concerned, no one has it and the achievement is a lie.
On the first turn you have 1/16 chance of guessing right. Assuming you do, the next turn is 1/15, then 1/14, and so on. Therefore the chance of making no mistakes is 1 in 16x15x14x13...3x2x1, which is 20,922,789,888,000.
Everyone being stuck on the Leviathan Harpooning kinda makes me feel better about it. ...Kinda.
Ohyep. That's a huge reason why I don't bother with fishing. The prizes are lovely, but the game is about as fun as watching paint dry. Ditto with leviathans.
"You are getting very close to the best fishing spot!". I hit the back button, cautiously move my mouse 2 pixels to the left. "You were nowhere near it!" ... Gee, thanks.
LOL I'm only interested in the fishing prizes for quentin quests. I randomly pick a spot, hit enter, and on the next screen, hit the reload button 4 times. And done.

- I CANNOT get past level 5 (or is it 6?)... I haven't tried in MONTHS because I'm pretty bitter about it. UGH! I'll get SOOOooOOOooOO close and then, "You lost!" ballsack!
I am so glad I am not alone in my loathing for Fishing and that one level of Leviathan. <3
While it's not difficult at all, I have issues with Decanter of Indestructibility in terms of tediousness. The payouts/rewards are really super minimal, especially considering it asks for an entrance fee for every try. The chances of actually getting enough successes in a row to get something reasonably good is...not great, as far as I've ever figured out. It's all easily restockable items, too; there's literally no point in it.
@ Lypsyl Oh, I didn't think of that! That's not a bad strategy for those of us who just want to be done with the game.
@ Lirikai The only reason why I'm bothering with the decanter is for the achievement. Once I get the 5k achievement, I am not playing that game again. It's also why I'm dreading playing Street Team for the achievements & achievement prizes. I'm not bad at the game, it's just incredibly dull and I'd rather play something offsite.
Come to think of it, the same could be said about most of the games. They're not really... fun. They're more chores and random things to do than something you can play and confidently say "well that was enjoyable!" once you're done with playing.
Staff can only do so much with adding fresh prizes until the interest fades again. imo, there's too much to do games-wise, and it's all kind of feeling meh. :'D
Fair! I totally forgot there was an achievement for it; that must be why I stopped playing years ago, haha.
Thing is, Slots is tedious too but I'll go there and click for a while because there's a reasonably decent chance of some kind of reward that's worth the time. For a lot of these games, the chance is so vanishingly small or frustrating that it just isn't worth it. People talk about Crypts as worthwhile, too, which is frustrating as all get out but has a really nice reward and a reasonable chance of getting it.
I'm not sure if there's a good solution to that; the obvious answer is "up the payouts/better the chances" but that would take some back-end investigation and may not be feasible. I wouldn't be opposed if staff wanted to look into the chance balance of some of these games, though. ;)
With that revelation about Fishing in mind, has anyone found the treasure?
Chance games absolutely need an adjustment. Tbh I lose so frequently at most of them that I don't even consider them worth my time/sP (if you need to pay to play it).
I wouldn't be opposed to a rebalance either. 👀 I know Amber was working on balancing some payouts for games. Maybe some game mechanic balances can be done after that?
Yeah, you're right! Slots is blah, but there's the potential of the jackpot and getting a bunch of other items and recycle beast fodder along the way. And floating items, if it's a holiday that does those. Crypts is frustrating, but pretty decent in terms of balance. Last I remember, the sP reward was meaty too? Been a dog's age since I've played though.
Crypts, Slots, Scratchcards, Polar Ice Field, Potion Lottery, are annoying, but the good kind of annoying because you can realistically expect to win at these. You can compare it with Jaxon's pumpkin patch - getting Snowflaik is absolutely possible. It demands luck, but you can absolutely find her.
They're the good kind of chance games, where the odds aren't skewed towards us, but they're not impossible to beat. With persistence, you can win.
Leviathan? Fishing? l o l
apparently some have: (I think I remember say they won once). https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/196941/Fishing-to-Win-with-Math/1 Check out post by Keith!
[edit] Oops, I get an error message from that old thread. I copied the quote from another thread https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/871495/Anybody-got-the-treasure-from-Fishing But its old, don't necro it.
