I went to housing to apply(my brother came with me this time because of the hard time I had last time) and I told them about this program the government came out with last year (they were only taking 3,000 people. ANYONE can apply for it and ANYONE can STILL apply for it). They were giving me a hard time. They were saying "It's only for seniors who've been waiting for more than 6 years" I said "Oh yeah? That's not what it says here (I was holding my phone). It says anyone can apply for it" and the looks they were giving each other... made me think there was definitely something going on. They said "Where did you get that? Who told you about it?" I said "I'm not giving names" and my brother said "Hey Bliss, we can call head office and tell them you want to apply and maybe they can do an internal investigation here. Those are always fun". So she grabbed a piece of paper and pen and got my name and number and said "I'll give it to the women who may know something about this".

I think I'll just call head office and apply. I also want to remove my application. Something doesn't feel right.

My brother still has the unit below, but I'm not encouraging him to do anything. He bitches constantly about the issues down there shrug

P.S. The program was only taking 3,000 sign ups across Ontario. If you mess up the geared to income renting, you get kicked off and another person gets onto the list. It's subsidized renting. If I knew about it last year, my unit would've cost me $700 instead of the $804 I'm paying.

I'm glad your brother went to back you up. Maybe in his own way he was getting info for himself by being there? But hopefully this main head office line will get you some help youhave needed.

I think you should encourage him to leave if he can. The fact your "land lord" allows such horrific molds and things grow and be gross it will impact both of your health in a permanent way.

And once you find a place for real take time away from your family to enjoy it. No issues and relax a bit.
