- I prefer DTS but the cost is a bit prohibitive. But it is good for those who can't get on to ask for slots.
Do you find 30 copies to be too much? Not enough? 30 is an average amount that seems good for most items. Sometimes the more popular items fill and many users miss out though, so perhaps judge it based on popularity within specific items?
Would you like more 24h unlimited items? I do enjoy this type of release a lot.
More permanently available cw items? I usually just get them when they are released, so this is not sometime that really matters to me.
Would you be interested in some sort of revamped SUBETABOX concept (but once per season only)? Yes!! I loved this and the MatchMe concept. Both of these concepts were really fun.
Thank you for taking our feedback. :d<3

I really really extremely want:I like the idea of submitting DTS then unlocking simply because the forum tends to be stuck on loading every other day. It would make it easier on all of us.
Do you find 30 copies to be too much? Not enough? Depends on the item, I see certain items such as the Flimsy Kitten Fabric be very popular, so maybe you can adjust certain items based on interest?
Would you like more 24h unlimited items? Yes, I would love that.
More permanently available cw items? Yes.
Would you be interested in some sort of revamped SUBETABOX concept (but once per season only)? Yes.
I'm fine with option 2! As someone who can't always be online when stuff gets released (and is often super poor and needs time to get csc) I think it's really cool when stuff is in shops.
Heh, my answers are the same as GALEXIA’s
No need to apologize for being busy, we all have those times!! Plus it has been pretty quiet all around ^^
Personally I do prefer capped items over unlimited (unless it's for a short time)! I wouldn't be opposed to more 24hr unlimited things since I do sometimes miss things I like if I'm not on (and I am not on a lot these days). Just throwing the copies in shop is probably the easiest for all involved (I realize I'm so reluctant to release these days because I don't want to go through the trouble of slotting), but I'm also fine with the way you currently release though it does end up being more work for you. I wouldn't necessarily be against more permanently available wears but I might also never buy them because I tend to put off buying things I know will always be there if I need them later?
I think 30 copies is good, but I also know it depends on the item. Maybe if you think it might require more copies just consider the 24hr unlimited alternative?
I would also love to see a revamped Subeta box!! I did really look forward to seeing what new items would be coming, even if they weren't always something I could see myself using. I did often miss the bonus items by a landslide--I think I only ever managed to slot on one.

I've released a fair few items myself and know how tedious the slotting process is so I support direct to shop. 30 copies seems enough to me, I'm not overly keen on 24hr unlimited cause I'm not on everyday so tend to miss stuff like that, no to permanently available items because they tend to lose value and are hard to sell, and yes I enjoyed the subetabox
I tend to dts myself any more. Because I'm not around much because of work 70+ a week so its easier so much more then slotting. But I usually cap availability in the shop...either with number or time limit.
I do version 3. I just push the first batch through (I find slotting tedious and annoying - waiting for days and such) and then put the reminding copies in my shop as unlocked I mostly fill the first batch with friends (my sis and some other friends) but thse are free slots, since I do not really like to slot. For lumi I just push them through and gift all the copies
Note : Most items will still be capped at 30 copies (with up to 10ish copies preslotted for friends, if they wish to get a copy). There will also be unlimited 24h items of course.
I love this idea!

There are a fair number of people who are casual CW buyers and just purchase things off the CW feed (or out of usershops, or when the pawn shop is open), because they do not want to mess with slotting, the social aspect of the CW community, or the attendant drama, or have to worry about privates vs exclusives and resale restrictions et cetera.
If you are not going to cap your items, DTS is a great idea--you draw your own stuff, so you don't have to provide a free artist's copy like I and many other releasers do, which is why we don't DTS until after the first batch.
If you start DTSing teeny concealers, kitten fabrics, etc, without giving your regular purchasers advance notice, those items are popular and you are going to make a lot of casual buyers really happy.
However, if you cap your batches, and don't provide advance notice or preclaims for the people who regularly slot on your items, they might miss out a lot more than they do right now.
We all have the days when it's all you can manage to go to the bathhouse, collect an Ika fruit, grab a lifelike doll, and pick up the pets' pay.
Do you find 30 copies to be too much?
No. I don't like batch caps at all.
Would you like more 24h unlimited items?
I would like more unlimited items, period, but I would appreciate it if they were available for more than 24 hours.
More permanently available cw items?
Yes! As someone who joined in 2017. I'm always sad to see people retire half their shop, because I was able to get a lot of nice old things from people who don't retire their stuff.
I feel that releasers who want the site and the CW community to still be going strong in 2025 should think about how much easier it is to get new players interested if they aren't constantly being frustrated by items that were only sold three years ago to 10 people (7 of which don't want to part with the item and 2 of which are either running an auction with a 3000+ csc autobuy or will only trade for an even rarer item that is on their High Priority wl.) Meanwhile the 10th person gives up and sells the item to the pawn shop after nobody offers for a 3 day period, because the newbie who wants the item doesn't know how to find them.
Would you be interested in some sort of revamped SUBETABOX concept (but once per season only)?
I'd check it out, but whether or not I'd buy would depend on the items. I do tend to make avatars that clearly live in a very different world and time from the present day. I don't buy a lot of the types of styles that seem to be really super popular.

Hey buddy! I'm so STOKED to see you around a bit more, when you have time! Whatever way of selling copies is easiest for you, I'm down for it! Though I do hope if you DTS, there will be some kind of announcement post/ping. :)
Do you find 30 copies to be too much? Not enough? I think 30 is a good baseline for most releasers, however - your releases tend to be a lot more popular, so I think you should play it by ear. Have you ever had leftover copies after a release? If not - I would up the number a bit.
Would you like more 24h unlimited items? Of course! Those are fun. You might also try 48 hour releases occasionally to help those that can't/don't log in every day.
More permanently available cw items? Sure!
Would you be interested in some sort of revamped SUBETABOX concept (but once per season only)? YES! I am now in a place where I could help out again with Subetabox, especially if it's jut 4 times a year! <3 <3
Do you find 30 copies to be too much? Not enough? I definitely don't think 30 copies is too much, honestly more would be better! Everyone loves your designs so much <3
Would you like more 24h unlimited items? I think these are great ^0^
More permanently available cw items? I would love this! Personally, it takes me awhile to save up my CSC to get a CW so it would be nice if some things were available permanently or for just a longer time than 24 hours (:
Would you be interested in some sort of revamped SUBETABOX concept (but once per season only)? This is my favorite question, I LOVED the boxes the artists used to do <3 I would love to see something like that make a come back :3
Glad to see you back!! super hugs We've missed you! <3 <3 <3

What I’m hearing mostly is that DTS would be a good path to go down on, and 30 copies are more or less considered okay! I dont think I plan on raising the amount over 30, unless unlimited 24 hours of course because well.. if I started adjusting every item based on the popularity i -think- it would get, I’d end up doing a lot of guessing (and ive been very wrong in the past about those!). I also think that if it’s too readily available, it loses interest after a while. That being said, I have no plans to release less than 30 copies and any remaining copies would stay in my cw shop until they are all purchased or until retired atleast one year or two later on. There is no risk of some ultra small hard-to-find item either.
I found 24h unlimited releases to also be a bit hi or miss, but I'll definitely keep doing some! I did try 48h a few times and it generally lost interest (and actually made less sales. Psychological thinking, i dunno)
I’ve found releasing to be a lot more tedious than it used to be. For instance, I pushed many black friday items last november. 2 of them did not sell a single copy, and 5 of them did not break even to the cost of putting them onsite. It was a huge loss of csc (the worst since forever for a black friday, too) and has definitely made me more cautious of releasing. This is partly why, aside from flimsy dresses i think, I’d say most releases wouldn’t benefit from being over 30 copies (and some of them could honestly be 10 copies, but i’d rather stick to 30 either way!)
For every release, I will still be pinging # CathiiArt here of course, so you won't miss out! It's just that items will be purchasable in my cw shop directly :)
I'm partisan with making unlimited permanent releases, but I don't exactly know.. what. People have a good point that unlimited items are pretty much synonym with stuck-in-wardrobe-forever because they have no resell value. This makes the selection a lot smaller. Maybe just staples such as tights, makeup/blushes that can be used for different HAs? It's definitely something to consider, as these sort of items usually sell very, veeeeeryyy slowly and I can't shoulder the cost of too many permanent items that will cost me a lot more than I'll get back for months or years to come.
I would definitely LOVE to give subetabox a new try ()! I think a seasonal box would be a lot more feasible, with more items and a better system to distribute it all. I'll look into reviving this concept and see if we can streamline the process so that it isn't so tedious.
i'm waiting for some items to be approved and will have them released in my cw shop with a ping here ❤️ Thank you!
Thanks . I personally love the idea of the makeup and tights being unlimited and sitting in your shop. 1- because I don’t always have the csc when it’s first released. 2- I’m nervous about buying makeup, because I use a different shape eye than most (95% of the time I use Reapers Spilled Mercurial Souls, to get the shape of the eye I want) But later (after it’s onsite) I’ll try it out and buy if I like. And 3- I might not realize that I HAVE to have that color ‘whatever’ to make my outfit perfect. :)
So having some ‘basics’ in a shop, allows me to go and grab them when I realize I need it.
HUGS ❤
I definitely understand the cost/payoff problem. I pushed a lot of things on site for black friday and most of them sold only 2 or 3 copies, but I had one thing that sold okay so I didn't really climb out of the cost hole but it wasn't as bad as it could've been. I do think makeup would be a fine choice as a perm shop item! I actually use a cw makeup that is always available in someone's shop, after my last HA face overhaul! As long as it's something really useful I think you'd be able to make some profit off it (but it might be a wait game).

I'm happy with either (slotting or the DTS submission), but I personally prefer 24hr unlimited items along with more permanently available cws ;) I know the resale value of that kind of cw isn't probably as good (as there's more about so they're probably not as sought-after), but as someone who tends to keep every cw I've bought. I like bigger opportunities to buy them! laughs

I think you've got a really good system in mind, and I say you should do what works for you, utltimately! I agree with a few others that really basic items like makeup are the best things to have as unlimited, too.
Interesting that 48 hour sales didn't work in your favor! I guess it makes sense, though. I've only done 48 hour releases (vs 24 hours releases), thinking to give slotters more time, but they only did moderately well - so maybe my idea backfired. XD
Do you find 30 copies to be too much? Not enough? I think it depends on the item. If it's popular like the kitten fabrics, I think that's a good amount.
Would you like more 24h unlimited items? Yes! More permanently available cw items? Maybe? I guess it depends how it's done, like items brought back once a year for the holidays or twice a year. Would you be interested in some sort of revamped SUBETABOX concept (but once per season only)? Yes!!! Miss this
I don't understand why people are buying CWs that they expect to need to sell down the line so often that "it's going to be stuck in my wardrobe forever" is even a consideration.
I don't expect to get everything I paid back when I sell something unless it's incredibly popular because CWs are not an investment.
